I just watched my copy of DVD 9 which has been in my pile for about a week, so my memory on volume 8 is a tad hazy and might blur with volume 7.
I love the third episode on this DVD, especially the touching moments between Holland and Talho. I'm glad we are finally getting some answers about these character's past which have been eluded to for so many episodes. This only gets better with the 9th DVD. I really enjoy Crispin's ramblings about religion. Now that I think about it I think he is the one who points out that the cream in the coffee in one scene of Boogiepop (audio commentary) forms a Yin-Yang symbol. He would in my opinion be the perfect host for an anime related news/review show. I will agree about the theme songs for this stretch of episodes. The first ED song still hands down is one of my favorite anime songs accompanied by gorgeous animation. It is rare that I don't scan through (pause to check out the writers/director/storyboard for the episode) the ED, but I would be routinely mesmerized by the first ED sequence of Eureka 7. |

I don't know why ANN would review vol. 8 that was released three months ago when the latest volume is available in the market.
Anyway, those were such an interesting set of episodes. I must admit I was all warm and fuzzy inside as I watched that scene between Talho and Holland -despite them being the two characters that get on my nerves the most in the series- the reason that a woman would change herself for the better because spoiler[she's expecting a baby] is quite believable and something that a woman like me could completely empathize with. I also cried when I watched the flashback about how Eureka came to know the three brats, it was such a moving scene, along with when she showed up later in the Nirvash to prove Norb's point. I haven't yet watched vol. 9, because I was`quite busy with other things, maybe I'll watch it tonight. |

I must disagree... it's all a matter of opinion. Taiyou no Mannaka he is my favorite in this series. In fact, DAYS is probably my 4th favorite opening, not that it's bad, but Shounen Heart and Sakura, along with the current one, are just better in my opinion. Though, Himitsu Kichi is the best ending, imo, followed by Tip Tap Tips. As for the actual anime, I stopped watching this on tv around episode 8, once I'd decided I was going to buy it, and I'm waiting until I have the whole series before I watch it, so I've got a little while still. Can't wait.

If you look at a number of his interviews, he often goes into deep expositions on topical matter (there are a few examples on this very site). It's even poked at a bit in his Haruhi interview. I, too, agree that he would make a good host for such a show (maybe a more "balanced," sophisticated version of AnimeTV). It's very pleasing to see reviewers give Eureka Seven some kudos. Due to its plotting and unconvential style artistically and story-wise, it really hasn't caught on like other recent series. Hopefully over time, more people will be able to discover how just how great a show it is. |

I would rate Sakura last and DAYS first, since its sung by FLOW and that the backgroung of rock guitars with violins just blended so well. PArticularly, DAYS is my favourite song out of all songs by FLOW. And the third opening theme song was awesome. |

People have caught on of how wonderful the series is. However, the series is new, and give a new whole mythos that not a lot people have recognize. Like Evangelion, I believe a whole ten ears in enough to make it like a legend. |
