I was going to subscribe to Crunchyroll just to read this manga, until I discovered they require the infestation of Flash on your computer. If they ever update to HTML5, I will subscribe, gladly, just to read this manga.

Or perhaps we can one day have physical copies published in English. I can dream.

I don't even know if Crunchy's latest chapter is the final chapter because the chapter count kinda got really weird when the magazine count mixed up with the volume count, but anyway, it was fun. Here's to hoping Ishiguro makes something as good next.

I take it you aren't running Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, or the Chrome browser (since in any of these situations, you would have a browser with Flash built in).

Aww.. Man I love these series. I love it I bought / order the volumes in Japanese from Kinokuniya store. I'm gonna miss Hotori antics, kon sempai moeness and toshiko ta-tsun-ness. I'm going to be depressed for a couple of days just reading this news. I hope the author will finally create a full calendar of events happened in the manga to compliments the non chronological storyline. He mention it somewhere years ago.

Based on the timing of when we got the most recent chapters on CR, and the plot of the last one we got, I'm pretty sure there's one more chapter to go after 137. (I'm the letterer for the series.) But... just one more...

Not having flash and not wanting to support flash are different things.

Heartbreaking news... T_T

Thank you Ishiguro-san. I will forever treasure this wonderful series that you created and I look forward to whatever comes next.

Goodbye Hotori... You are my all time favorite character and I will miss seeing all of your little adventures.

Edit: I just finished reading what's on Crunchyroll. Wow... With the exception of when Hotori "died", I always felt like the supernatural stuff was the weakest part of the manga. I'm having a hard time deciding how I feel about this ending. I mean, I hate it, but it might be a good ending. It's going to take me a few days of being sad to get over it. spoiler[ Goodbye Hotori... T_T T_T]

Edit 2: It's a happy ending after all! Someone on another forum reminded me of chapters 118 and 119. We got trolled by the author, the real ending came out long ago XD
Yet more proof of how clever this guy is and why I love his writing so much.

"...require the infestation of Flash on your computer" implies the need to install it. If one already has it whether they want it or not, it renders that point moot.

You are correct; I run Windows 7 and macOS, and none of my machines will ever have Chrome installed.

But I wasn't trying to start an OS/browser war. I was trying to indicate that I like this manga so much I'd pay just for it alone, if I could without using Flash. If it ever gets published physically in English, I'd buy the whole series.

@Zumie, Aww, thanks!! :D I've lettered the series since the first volume (back at JManga then) and it's been one of my favourites all the way! I'd love to read more of Ishiguro-sensei's work as well~

...JManga did put out one of his short story collections, Present For Me. I was looking around to see if it was still available anywhere, and discovered Bookwalker has it as an ebook! (in English) And SoreMachi vol 1-11 too!!

I haven't read the series yet but keep up the hard work. This is also the first time I have an ANN Forum member out themselves as working on a CR title.

Hahaha, well, it's the only series I currently letter for CR and I'm doing it mostly out of love and loyalty for the series :) Most of my lettering work is for print manga publishers.
