Could it be an anime adaptation? Well, maybe not, but I can hope!

Meh if its an anime annoucement, the manga is a bit bland and boring.

If it is an anime, will it adapt straight from the manga? Or from the anime series? Or the second season directed by Akiyuki Shinbo? Or the last OVA/movie, incidentally also directed by Shinbo?
This will be more confusing than the X-men timelines.

anime adaption is possible since they have enough material & the manga sales are good! a lot of Weekly Shounen magazine manga were adapted into anime so yeah xD

Honestly I wouldn't care much for an anime adaption of UQ holder, series is fairly bland
in comparison to Negima. Although admittedly the last 2-3 chapters of UQ have gotten super excited, I was screaming like a 12 year old school girl... which is shameful because I'm a guy an turning 26 this year. lol
Now if it was a reboot of the Negima series and do a proper adaptation...

I still want a proper Negima anime. Get David Production on it, trim off the fanservice parts in places and give it a proper ending for once. UQ Holder getting one would feel like an insult to Negima fans since it never had a good adaptation besides the OADs (which we never got, thanks Kodansha for not allowing Funimation to license them).
Recent events of the manga have made it decent but if Akamatsu adaptations' track record is any sign, I bet any potential anime adaptation will never make it to that point.
Or worse, this "big announcement" is OADs again which means they have a slim to no chance of a license, or Kodansha US decides to release them on sub-only DVDs like with Attack on Titan.

I'm sorry, but I really am amused by this request seeing as the manga ITSELF didn't have "a proper ending", I see no reason to expect any Negima anime would have one.
(Also, HOW can you ever have an Akamatsu anime without "fanservice parts", Negima had a monster that only "eats clothing" and both Negima & UQ Holder place heavy emphasis on "stripping" magic.

Really hoping it's an announcement for an anime adaptation, as I've been enjoying UQ Holder ever since is started.
Let's not talk about Negima..

I said "in places". There were points where it felt tacked on (like the sports festival part near the end)
