I'm kinda glad it's ending. Hayate the Combat Butler isn't too good at episodic comedy, unlike a show like Gintama, so the recent comedic chapters haven't been as good. Hopefully, the finale will make things better.

Nooooo! Anime cry. Nagi is best rich loli forever. she's like 24 now anyway, since she was born in 1991 lol. Synergy SP's version was by far my favorite and is due for a rewatch later this year....I'll be really sad knowing this is ending, but at least it had a good run.

I wonder if they'll do a "finale" season for Hayate just as strong as the first season was... or better. I'd be okay with that Smile

I'm still disgusted that they never adapted Athena's arc. Ugh.

With the recent chapters, it was quite obvious that the end was near.

I hope so. I loved that first anime series, enjoyed the 2nd season well enough...the rest (movie, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, and Cuties) I can do without. Would love to see the end of it all animated, though I don't know what the chances of that happening are.

I will say, no chance that I'd go out and get the manga.

Hinagiku = best girl

This was already announced like a couple of months ago in the weekly magazine when the chapter entered the final arc.

I was ok with Hinigiku until I reread the series carefully.

Hayate only got good after Ayumu joined the cast, not Hinagiku. Yeah, the bunny girl in that secondary image; She's not even in the cast shot. I think the problem was they were introduced at the same time but only one has a reason to be in the story. The other one always, always, had to force her way into the story and back into Hayate's life.

Why root for anyone else in that ridiculous story?

it's been a weird year. I mean, Nisekoi and Hayate actually getting plot? AND nearing the end? wow.

Just as long as VIZ publishes all the rest of the novels in North America! I'll be happy seeing I am collecting the manga now!
