Honestly, all I want from this game is to really polish it and make it feel like an actual game, and not some MMO hybrid that takes the worst from MMOs. I enjoyed Xenoverse 1 for what it was, but the grindy missions really took the fun out of it when you realize you played a mission 50 times and STILL didn't get that piece of equipment or skill. And of course, the balance being pretty terrible between races and skills. Even in single player it's encouraged to just pick a Cyan and spam ultimates, because it kills everything.

So all I want is to either nerf Cyans a lot or give other races bonuses that actually make them viable; fix drop rates so that you don't have to grind them because MMO/mobile elements in video games is always bad; make physical skills good and not completely inferior to beam spams.

The original was great fun, perhaps my favorite DB game! I'm looking forward to this...

Just hopefully this time the writers/VAs don't forget that women play the game/people like playing as female OCs. It was so awkward having my character referred to by male pronouns and as a male in general. I'm like "Look at me! Do I look like a man to you?" lol

I know, that may be a petty complaint to some, but it's actually a pretty major slap in the face to me. They only cared enough to make lines aimed at male characters. Rolling Eyes

I liked the story mode of this game a lot, but it simply fails as a fightning game in general to play with your friends, it's pretty shallow and unbalanced.

I thought the original was alright. It was fun until you realised you were doing the same thing over and over. I did like the online community aspect of it though, with a hub world full of real players.

Since it's a sequel, I hope they improve and flesh out the game more so. If they do that then they might get my money. I saw potential in the first game, so I'm happy they decided to make a sequel, and not just jump ship onto a different game entirely.

Japanese language can have ambiguous pronouns when it comes to gender. The Japanese text was probably written in a way they didn't need to have text variations to your character's gender, but English doesn't have that luxury and so they were just lazy to add gender variations.
And that wasn't the only problem.Did you notice how many typos and how many stuff in the subtitles didn't reflect to what the character is actually saying in that game?

This trailer makes it look just like the first one but with better graphics, hope they got something else up their sleeves than a simple rehash.

Hopefully a new story that doesn't make us relive the original story again. I hope the mistakes from the 1st game will be corrected.

I'm fairly certain that they could have easily kept the text/speaking gender-neutral in English version, too. I've seen it done in many games translated over that give you the option of gender.

The first game was pretty fun but got old after playing for long periods of time of course I still play vs. mode mostly just for bragging rights against my friends and family. Hopefully Xenoverse 2 will be an improvement on the first game with some additional features. Cool

Eh, the other races were pretty viable, though. Male Earthlings were great at melee.

I do agree that melee skills need to be better, though. Most were awful.
