Very nice. I have something to look for in Fall. If only PONYCAN USA did not have the license.

With Euphonium on the line up, Fall Season is shaping up to be a very good one. Also looking forward to the A Silent Voice adaptation.

Whatever. I've already seen the BEST version of this show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTVTkWTU0cw (SPOILERS, I guess)

Same here, I loved Hibike and wanted to buy the first season but I simply won't pay 216$ for a show (plus shipping and custom fees for importing to my country which would make it almost 300$ in total). And I assume that this second season will be offered on the same way, and also the movie if it's released on home video. So we would be looking into at least 600-700$ for owning a 24-25 episodes + movie series without any kind of collector extras except some postcards. Just no, not happening. I still have hopes for a possible cheaper UK release in the future, otherwise sadly I will never own this show. Last edited by Naniwa on Fri Apr 22, 2016 11:17 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Hopefully this season will have Reina actually talk to the teacher, and maybe Kumiko's friends will die and she and Reina can be the focus. Maybe, just maybe, I might actually remember more than 3 scenes from this season if they take that direction. Euphonium was certainly not the worst series from last year, but was certainly the one I was most indifferent to, as it filled up all its episodes with moe pandering content and left me very little to care about.
@Raebo101 That was leaps and bounds better than the original. |

Wow... Completely die. You okay, dude? This is a light highschool-themed anime, not some dark fantasy or some yuri series. |

I liked Hibike! quite a bit. That being said I did skip the parts that spoiler[they competed for the solos] because I personally had bad experiences in band when I tried to audition for a solo part (I was playing second part and wanted a solo (a jazz solo and I had the best feel for jazz in my section) but got my butt handed to me by the principal seat (who was a good friend until we graduated from high school) just via technique alone). I didn't want to unearth those memories so I skipped those parts but I was able to still understand what happened.
Though my major gripe with the show is that in reality it is nearly impossible for a band to improve that fast without replacing most of the members with better players. I still hope they rectify that by having them get destroyed in the nationals. Realistically they shouldn't be able to win nationals since the top band programs in Japan (such as Seika Girls High School and Kyoto Tachibana) are often as good as American university wind ensembles or better (the top American bands I've heard are about as good too). Also I still want one of those key chains for my horns so it would be nice if it does well and they sell them (they would also make great gifts for my band friends). |

We can only hope... The first season's mountain-scene with those two made my "kokoro dokidoki" like never before. |

I'm interested to know what's up with Asuka's dramatic looking-away-from-the-camera pose. She was the first season's comic relief, if not its Cloud-Cuckoolander.

Looking forward to this. Only enjoyed the last 3-4 episodes, but felt like it is at a place where it will hold my interest from this point on.
