So I guess this is the Free! for guys that otaku had been waiting for.

If they're gonna go for the most obvious, tacky way to force the fanservice, at least I hope they make it fun and campy and not horrible humiliation porn like that one anime about pro-wrestling. I'm very certain to skip this, but it makes me sad to see so little imagination put into the actual concept and just come up with the most effortless way to tack the fanservice on top. Look at StoPri, that's also an invented sport and the rules don't require the guys to take off their shirts.

One day I wish we get to see a sports anime that focuses on a girl-team that is not all about the camera panning over the jiggle of the girls' boobs

So, we've finally made Butt-Wrestling into an anime, huh? I'm surprised it took this long, honestly. Neutral

I initially thought this would be something like a synchronized swimming team, since that's stereotypically a 'girly' sport involving swimming. Disappointed to see it's just a gross fanservice anime. At least Free! had lots of races and was about friendship and dreams...

And when girls are fighting with their butts and boobs, men are taking bets which one will win.

No need for the baiting comment or getting around the filter. --willag

If memory serves, Taisho Baseball Girls fits that bill.

This isn't really all that new pushing someone off a platform into a pool of water has been done before (just not in Anime) of course they never just used their boobs or butts to knock someone off but I'll definitely be checking this one out when it airs can't wait. Very Happy

Keijoo is a full blast parody of the shounen sport anime with fan service, though in manga this couldn't be really called fan service. You know technically it's fan service but, how should I put it? It's more stupid than perverted.

Just don't take it seriously.

I find it funny seeing people mention Free! here. I've not seen it, and don't intend to, but from the little I do know of it...I'd say there's fanservice (Free!) and FANSERVICE (Keijo). At least, that's the impression I'm getting. Laughing

I've got nothing against fan service anime, I've enjoyed my fair share of DxD and To Love-Ru, but this series doesn't appeal to me at all. I'd have to say, when the premise is so on the nose, I usually tend to steer clear. I'll avoid this and Hybrid x Heart, like I did Daimidaler before them.

I've read this series before, it's not really aiming towards fanservice at all. It rarely is , it's more on the "foolish-comedy" side of sports with a splash of yuri. I mean, yeah they're in baghing suits, but it's really funny. And why is everyone complaining about fanservice anyways?? Everyone is getting too serious about this. It's just comedy. And before u judge read the manga or give the anime a chance, sheesh.
