Pretty much like everything else she has ever done. With less bare feet.

It's ok by romantic comedy standards. You can tell there's romance, but with all the damn obstacles, it'll take a while until we see any real progress.

It's Rumiko Takahashi, and in the romance department she swings wildly between one of the greatest writers of love stories ever (Aka Maison Ikkoku) and "WTF was that bullshit ending?" (aka Ranma 1/2)
Soooo, toss up.

RIN-NE isn't really about the romance. Sure, it's there, but it's mostly for laughs. It has a VERY dry sense of humor, it's not as energetically wacky as Rumiko's other works but hey that differentiates it from the rest.
ANyway, looking forward to this, RIN-NE was one of my favorite animes last year and I'm especially lookin forward to Renge because she's a great character.

It you like other Takahashi stuff, you'll like it. If you don't, then you won't.
If you're looking for a romance focused show, I'd say don't watch anything Rumiko Takashi, except maybe Maisson Ikoku. She tends to write comedy hijinx with a glacially slow romance sprinkled in.
I really liked Rinne though. It's just too ridiculous. The translator they got is wonderful at translating jokes also. I'm so happy there'll be a second season.

Yep, I was surprised by how much I ended up like RIN-NE. And, I agree about Renge, she's my favourite character on the show.

Weewoo~
I totally like Rinne S1 as a whole because it's Rumiko-sensei's work.. While I'm it, ironically, I also think it was really not a very good title at that compared to her previous titles. But at best, I'm not expecting great twists to unfold and I'm just going to thoroughly enjoy it with some laughs.

Um... Renge hasn't debuted in the show yet. Are you sure you're not talking about Ageha?

I couldn't remember the name, so I did a quick search and saw a character that looked similar on a wiki article. But, you're right, I'm interested in seeing more of Ageha!
