inb4 people don't read the full article, see the summarization in the beginning, come on here to post about how "a drawing can't harass ya! nyehhh! women, am i right?"
honestly thank god that people are speaking up over this kind of thing. there's nothing inherently wrong with Anime Boobs, but that kind of artwork doesn't belong on public posters. |

"but that kind of artwork doesn't belong on public posters." What exactly is wrong with the artstyle? |

I'm pretty sure your avatar pretty much sums up your viewpoint. |

I think the bigger issue is that the look in her face makes it appear that she is about to be a victim of a rather unspeakable crime.

Joke character sums up my viewpoint? Doesn't make any sense. {Please don't over-quote. Thanks. ~ Psycho 101} |

I didn't know Peeping Toms were so organized over there. |

The look on her face suggests that she is uncomfortable in her current attire and would like to change to something more comfortable. It's a look of embarrassment, and I agree that it's something that shouldn't be used by a tourism organization. However, how in the world you can think it looks like she's about to be a victim of a rather unspeakable crime just bewilders me. Does this mean that woman who look and dress like the woman in the poster shouldn't be allowed out in public.

"We didn't think it would cause an uproar," a member of the sightseeing association commented.
You did a superb job. I'd give you a medal.
Which is why it's a GOAT post. {Please don't over-quote. Thanks. ~ Psycho 101} |

Meanwhile, at Monoi Station in Chiba a few months back there's an eight meter long billboard with anime style tentacles chasing after a schoolgirl in a short skirt across from an all-girl's high-school.
Love the contrast there. |

Surely you can tell the difference between a woman choosing to dress a certain way and a fake anime woman being drawn a certain way by men. Also, I can understand why people on this site WOULD have a hard time realizing this, but real women don't actually look like anime characters. It's kind of weird, but true! |

While the TV Anime's Character designer is male, is the original character designer, "Kippu" also male? There aren't many resources and I looked for a minute to see if I could ascertain this to be true. So I couldn't. Also there is no credit I can find for who drew the poster exactly. It is very dangerous to assume that 'because I don't like it, the Evil-Gender must be behind it!' That door swings both ways. As to the poster, my own opinion is that is just looks...bad. On multiple fronts. |

She looks like she's embarrassed over being forced to go out in public without any underwear. I can see why people are uncomfortable.

Come on people, it's in public. This kind of stuff is honestly awkward and embarassing outside places like Akihabara, it's obviously going to draw complaints.

And yet her arms and positioned in a way to make it WORSE. Rather than holding the shirt together or covering her cleavage with her arms, she makes them pop out more... |
