God this looks awful. From the screeching theme song to the awkward use of cgi and the uninspired character designs.
Such a shame because the original PSO had such a wonderful story. Why couldn't they just have animated that? |

Im not sure but from what I can tell the anime is actually in the near future. Its not a story set in pso2 itself but a story set on earth about people who PLAY pso2 and may or may not end up trapped in the game. Sooo...ugh. I cant wait to see how this anime manages to be even worse than my already rock bottom expectations. On the bright side I don't need to feel obligated to watch it since its totally original. 
But hey at least Quna shows up in this PV. I mean that has to count for something...right? |

Well, the trailer had me up until about 0:31 mark. I've got roughly zero interest in shoehorning some Japanese high school drama into a sci-fi action setting.
