WTF! I am so disappointed. Was the Spider-man logo really that bad?

I thought it was the Dekapan (aka Anpanman) parody?

Japan, where they'll defend your right to depict your favourite characters in graphic sex acts, but only if you're respectful of the source material.

At this point, the series is going to be remembered for retroactive censorship instead of top-shelf hilarity.

This is seriously dumb. Now Japan is basically getting censored home videos. Isn't home media meant to have no censors at all? Like this the pirating will obviously increase.
If any licensing company puts this out on home media in the west with these alterations, I will not support it. I love the show but this is going too far.

The logo resembles Spider-Man, if you look at it.
Mr. Osomatsu really just can't catch a break. First, episode 1 have to be removed and will be replaced. Then, there's some of episode 3's segments that have to be edited. Now, this?

They'd better not edit out that one Obama joke.

Oh, man... At this rate, we may as call it "Mr. Osomatsu: Censored Edition." I'll be surprised if the show ends up selling well despite all these censorship issues starting from Dekapan-Man.

That was after all the copyright scandals happened and you'll notice they drew him with a moustache so he didn't look exactly like Obama just to be safe.

Nothing but indefensible corporate tyranny going on with this series, Japanese studios needs to show some balls and lighten up, how can they even think of saving Comiket much less whole genres of animated work from the IOC, mega tyranny when they can't even take simple parody like this and get a fair use law lobbied while they are at it.

Japan really needs to adopt some parody laws like the UK, but that is me doing some wishful thinking.

Well, I'm not surprised. Seeing the fallout from Episode 3 has taught me that Anpanman is a sacred cow in Japan--off-limits to parody.
Then again, I still think it's because someone high-up is a fan of Anpanman and can't stand seeing it made fun of, a lot like how South Park's "Bloody Mary" episode was removed solely because a Comedy Central executive was deeply Catholic and took so much offense at it that he pulled it out of existence.

Just for once I wish they would say, "To say that we are going after piracy/copyright infringement is hypocritical/ironic since we did a copyright infringement act".
