Yeeeaah, I'm a little over halfway though the game right now and was thinking "Wonder how different the new dub sounds? ...Oh episode 13? Well, surely they wouldn't put spoilers in a trailer."

Crying or Very sad

But seriously anyone who hasn't finished the game or seen the show, don't watch. It spoils the big twist.

Am I the only one who's simultaneously psyched that they got Bryce Papenbrook back to do Makoto's voice and kind of annoyed they didn't bother to match the game's translation? Or logo? >_>

Well to be fair the article did say that the video had spoilers.

Yes people should probably know not to watch a clip from the final episode and ANN gave a spoiler warning(although FUNi didn't). However just that image alone of that character is a spoiler. spoiler[Don't show Junko, now everyone will always suspect something is up with Junko considering she died at the very beginning.] Yeah everyone won't know the details but it doesn't take much to tip off who the mastermind is.

I'm so glad I finished the game recently or I'd be so pissed off.

I'm really glad I already played the game - being spoiled about this games' plot would be like someone spoiling what happens in Ever17; you just DON'T DO IT. FOR ANY REASON.

I've heard the anime is a really, really compressed adaptation of the game. So if you have a Vita or PSTV, I would recommend playing the game instead.

...and you should avoid even looking at the thumbnail for the video if you want to stay unspoiled.

Unfortunately or fortunately, I don't own a Vita or PSTV. Is the anime that bad???

IMO its not. I haven't played the games (though I plan to) but I found the anime pretty good to follow along with. I thought it was a fine adaptation.

I really wish they'd gotten the cast of the game for continuity's sake.

Yeah, they were only able to get Papenbrook back, but I LIKE how the new cast sounds, so... Razz

It always sucks when all (or most) of the cast of characters is re-cast, even though I only played the fan translated PSP version of the first game (no dub).

Ugh, I'm getting flashbacks of the awful Shana season 2 and 3 re-casts.....

Anyway, this Junko sounds good, I really liked her dub voice (Amanda C. Miller) from the games, though. Sad

As someone who played the games, I think it's a pretty great adaptation of the source material. Of course things had to be compressed. It was given 13 episodes. Cover the whole game and you get like... 52 episodes. That would be a HUGE project, and most studios don't have that kind of money.

Sure the game is best with the amount of story, but the anime shows the characters moving, and it is a great way to experience the story. I definitely recommend it.
