Why would they do that? The manga series came to a good conclusion. The TV series animated that with sufficient fidelity short of a direct copy. So there is no new material to animate

With the except of the second movie the whole franchise is available here, in Bluray no less. To improve on the animation a redo would have to be absolutely stellar. Sailor Moon Crystal shows the problems inherent in that.

If you want a reimagining of the series characters in a new setting, CLAMP tried that (Tsubasa), the results were less than great.

I'll admit that if someone saw the possibility of a significant profit it would probably happen. I doubt we would like it.

1) Just a shout out to my favorite series by CLAMP, Tsubasa. It's one of the series that has influenced my life more than anything else. I've yet to understand what people have against it. I know why, but I don't understand it. Oh well... =P

2) Technically, Tsubasa also reveals that CCS Sakura spoiler[gets rid of her wand because she no longer needs it for the cards]. While they could always do something to expand upon the future up to that point and beyond, there's currently no reason to start a new series, especially considering how busy CLAMP has already made itself now. I wouldn't mind a few special chapters here or there, though, for nostalgia's sake.
