Wow! The production values on both of these games is insane. Neither of them look like they're supposed to be iOS or Android games. For Whom the Alchemist and Shinobi Nightmare both look like they belong on the 3DS or PS Vita; not on phones.

That's so cool to see that this quality is being reached on phones now (and to make it clear, I'm an avid supporter of the 3DS and PS Vita as well, so I do know the possible downsides to this).

For Whom the Alchemist looks like they're taking what they did with Phantom of the Kill and twisting it a little more towards Final Fantasy Tactics, rather than Fire Emblem, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays when it launches.

Shinobi Nightmare was slightly more surprising, as the premise screams pure fanservice game, but I was caught off guard to see that it's almost a complete inverse to the Moero games. A dungeon crawler with female protagonists who use male entities to fight; rather than the Moero formula.

Both games look absolutely gorgeous and I didn't really notice anything that screams a typical mobile game - pay walls and energy bars were noticeably absent - so I'm holding out hope that we may be moving ever closer to the era of mobile games not using those features.

Anyway, I'm going to keep an eye on both of these games and see where they go. Both have immense potential and I cannot wait to find out if they live up to it or not.

I thought I saw Kawamori on the video screen for that company at the Tokyo Game Show! Glad to see that I was right.

Cool, glad there's some guys in this game, thought it was only girls units, which I rather prefer when I make a team but I like to see some guys in games.
