I'm in Japan right now and this show has literally taken over all the stores. The craze that was Pokemon has been replaced by this show. All the merchandise is Yokai Watch now.

I'm actually more surprised by how steep of a drop comes after Anpanman. But now, knowing what their fillings are, they sound delicious, and I want to watch~!

Not where I live. I mean, Yokai Watch is popular, but Pokemon's new movie has Hoopa and Black MegaRayquaza everywhere where I am. |

I can see why Level-5 would want to bring Yo-kai Watch over to the west. I can't see it succeeding to the level of Pokémon though. Heck, Pokémon can hardly be a kids' franchise anymore in the west. What the kids are into are things to make them look "mature" to their classmates and friends, and there is no way Yo-kai Watch can do that.
