I dont know why but I feel the ending will be shit... kinda like Christopher Tolkien doing whatever he wanted with his father's story kind of shit.

Ah come on, ZnT isn't LotR. The standard is way, way lower. If they got the remaining plot from the author and only have to fill it in, odds are just as good that it will be around the same level of quality as the original LN.

Obviously don't want to disrespect anyone but it's an LN, even if author did finish it I doubt much would change.

So the author gave his editors the general plot of the books (or at least that is what I gathered from the article) to release the rest of the LNs after his death... The series was supposed to end with LN #22, so the author discussing the plot lines 2 LNs ahead is reasonable. They just need to find people who know the source material thoroughly, and can keep the LNs' "feeling".

And? Just as there can be shitty movies, games, books, and plays, as well as brilliant movies, games, books, and plays, LNs come in varied quality levels. Dismissing the quality because it's a LN is pretty much the same as stating that "anime can't be good because it's anime".

To most readers and viewers these days this series might not be much cause it is pretty much a cliche story line...but that cliche was born out of this story in the first place...
It is a shame that the author never got to finish his work himself...believe me he tried as much as he could he suffered with his illness for over 4 years and yet he manged to accomplish so much ...with only 2 LN worth of content left for him to write but passed away before he did..
I am sure it will not be finished in the same way that he intended but during those last years i think it is safe to say those closest to him pretty much know how it ended as he gave out ideas and plans for the story to go on..
At the very least his legacy will finally come to a close and maybe some closure for all of his fans as well .

I don't care if it sucks, I'm just really happy with this news!
I remember getting really depressed when the author (such a nice guy) passed away. If he wanted for this to be done, I will gladly buy and read all the remaining story, in homage to him.

On LotR, even it had annoying points. Like pausing the adventure so that Tom Bombadil could sing.

He worked so hard while he was literally dying, so that the fans could have closure. I can't imagine what he must've felt like knowing he wouldn't be able to. I'm sure he'd be very happy to know they're going through with this.

I'm really happy to hear this. Though the novels has its up and downs, I still consider it to be somewhat good compared to other light novels of the same genre, and I was really sad when I heard the author had passed away. And if his fans, editors and most important his family wants to see this story finally come to an end, I'd be more than happy to see it happen.

Even if the author himself can't finish it, it's nice that this story is finally getting completed. It's filled with flaws, but I have fond memories of it nonetheless.
An incomplete story is the most depressing type of story.
^They would probably have to readapt the novels from the beginning. ...I would still watch nonetheless though.
