I would love if this were to be made into an anime, since there's pretty much no chance of the novels being picked up here.

After Toei's recent revivals, I was afraid it would come to this eventually. I really want to watch a good adaptation of this, but I'm scared that Toei will butcher it horribly. The original Doremi is probably one of the best magical girls shows with its mature themes.

Eh, kinda think this is just a sales stunt.

Never read any of the novels but the synopsis of the concept make them sound like a re-hash of the third TV series. The ending of the final TV series was so good I think it might be best to let it lie.

I could've sworn Hiromi Seki was a woman; the article uses male pronouns.

I do think it's pretty interesting that, years after the fact, novels were made without an accompanying TV series.

I'm currently going through the original anime (halfway through Dokka~n), and I have to agree with ZetaZaku, Doremi is surprisingly serious now and then, a lot more than you'd expect given it's about elementary school magical girls. There's also a lot more character development than in more recent Toei magical girl series.

I'd love to see the LNs made into anime Very Happy

Er, there are currently eight novels, not three. Ojamajo Doremi 19 will be the ninth.

Also I guess this is just me, but I wouldn't consider the 4Kids dub "heavily" edited. Edited for sure, but it was a show for preschool kids to begin with, so it's not like it got the One Piece treatment or anything. Confused

More Doremi? Yes please! I love the series ending but seeing the girls again would be wonderful!

Third and final refers to the number of drama CDs.

DOREMI, basically my favorite Magical Girl Series! Damn, I don't know where I stopped the series, but I've been looking for episodes and is almost impossible to find them. :'(

A new anime!? Do It! Anime hyper, Japanese people go buy all of the light novels, and make it possible.

But Toei animation right now is in the Precure fever(for 11 years Anime hyper) another amazing Magical Girl Series, so I don't think they will be making 2 series of the same genre.
Unless this new Doremi series is a short series(How much episodes do you think is needed to adapt the light novels?) or Precure is ending(I don't believe it Anime hyper).

People complaining about Toei butchering it, Shut up! Doremi is a totally original Toei concept! Go complain to other place.
Also this light novel series is already written, so it will be just an anime adaptation!

I remember enjoying the first season of this a bunch of years ago... It'd be neat to see these characters in high school.

This Ojamajo Doremi novel series takes place during the heroines' high school days. The series began in December 2011, and currently has three volumes released.

This is referring to the novel series.

I'd say it would need at least 3 cour; 4 cour would be ideal. It might be doable in 2 cour, but it would be a bit rushed and/or cut out some classmate stories (and tbh that's a major part of Ojamajo Doremi's charm).

To put it another way, the first volume of the novel series feels like it would be six or seven 20-minute episodes. I don't think the following volumes are quite as condensed (though I still haven't finished the second volume... my JP reading speed is still so slow, and I just haven't had the time), but I still don't feel like 2 cour would cut it.

With that out of the way, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Toei would work on another magical girl series alongside Precure. I mean... they are also doing Sailor Moon Crystal right now, after all.

The 15th anniversary was 2014, I think it's a bit late to make plans for a new anime to commemorate that. ^^;
