Oh hell yes. I am definitely going to get this although the license didn't surprise me. Sad that the show will be over in a few weeks but this news makes me happy.

Hot damn, I have not been this excited for a home release in a long time.

Nicely done, Sentai, nicely done.

We all knew it could be licensed asap. Too bad it's Sentai. Now I know the series will be overpriced and I'll have to wait forever to buy it at a reasonable price.

Whelp, looks like my threat for licking my cat if the announcement wasn't Parasyte doesn't have to be followed through. I'm sure she's relieved. With all of the hints they were dropping on their twitter yesterday, I would have been shocked if it wasn't Parayste.

Anyways, really happy to see the announcement!

I've seen people bitch about Sentai before, but never about their prices. You realize Sentai is not spelled AoA, right?

Yes, great grab Sentai! I hope they give it the same treatment as the Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions box set. One of the best anime deserves a great packaging!

Hopefully they do a special edition, this show deserves better than a barebones release.

While I am happy that show FINALLY got licensed (seriously what took so long?) I'm a little upset that it's by Sentai.

I don't have a huge problem with the company but this license means that we'll either get a sub-only release (which admittedly would be preferrable given their hit and miss dubs) or only a decent dub.

Eh, take my victories where I can get them I suppose.

First, I am very glad that Parasyte has been licensed. I am surprised it is Sentai only because I expected Funimation to be the strongest candidate to get it. Still, happy for Sentai; they need to get their hands on as many AAA titles as possible.

My only concern is the English dub. I expect Sentai to dub it; not to do it would be disappointing and moronic. I have harshly criticized Sentai for their lazy dubs, but the recent strong dub of Chuunibyou gives me confidence that they will give Parasyte the great dub it deserves.

Meh, I'd rather see the live-action film.

Sentai is not known for being overpriced, as they tend to release things at Funimation prices. Most people complain about the lack of on-disc extras, their record of sloppy QCing or their dubs being flat or dull.

Chuunibyou's Collector Edition is on par with some CEs from Funi(and cheaper than Aniplex's LEs) so I really don't see the price issue.

At least it was not AoA, otherwise our wallets would suffer a lot.

I actually think that Sentai has had this for a while, but was just waiting to announce it. Maybe they were finalizing some details overseas. Considering the strong reception the show has received, it's pretty much a given that it will be dubbed.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they did choose to do an LE set for it, which would be great. Their LE's have actually been pretty awesome so far. They have good quality boxes, and the extras are actually things I've been interested in. Not to mention, they've been fairly reasonably priced for everything you get with them, especially when you can pick them up on sale. You get a nice collectors set for less than an Aniplex set.

Their dubs have been improving too, and I think that may be a result of them being more selective on what they dub and allow themselves more time to work on a title. It's a shame that more shows aren't getting dubbed, but it wasn't that long ago that they were dubbing almost everything they released, but the quality could be hit and miss and you could definitely see which shows they had lower expectations for and rushed a bit. But Chunibyu, Sunday Without God, and others give me hope that they will do well with this one.

Edit: I've noticed that they have rights in most English markets, so there is a good chance they were working to secure partners in the UK and Australia before announcing it. Hopefully we see announcements for those areas as well so. If that happens, the show is almost guaranteed to get a dub.

Sweet, I like that sentai got it because they tend to not sit on the license for as long as funi does
