I second this, as well as Yusaku Godai and Kyoko Otonashi from Maison Ikkoku as it took practically 80 episodes for it to happen. Still a classic though ;P

I posted that five minutes before the downtime, so most of the thread must've ended up wiped.
One of those kisses that took a long time getting there. Very Happy

Also in the Rumiko Takahashi spirit of kisses that took an entire series of making it worth the wait:

(And if you want to throw in the various Romeo & Juliet kisses from Ranma 1/2 to round out the trilogy, but it doesn't count if you spoiler[use duct tape...])

I've recreated the chocolate poll here since the original was eaten during the data loss. There's still three days to vote!

Faye and Ed from Cowboy Bebop. Probably one of the funniest kisses out there.

Re-entering old messages and statements can take its mental toll Laughing

Pre-Shutdown I offered Elfen Lied's scene between Yuka & Kōta for the emotional impact

No Game, No Life's scene between the 2-man team, Kūhaku: Sora & Shiro for the 'awesome' factor

For literal meaning, Kissxsis was (and still is) my choice.

The poll results would be better if only Kircheis were – oh. Well, that's all right, then.

Kyohei and Hibino's kiss from Kamisama Dolls is the most recent one that I can recall.

completely happy with this list, especially the top 2! Didn't know anyone else had ever watched 'Lovely Complex' Smile

While the kiss in Love-Com (at least the manga, as I haven't seen the anime) is great, Toradora! should really be number 1.

If we're not talking "First Kiss" scenes, I would have included the "First/Fourth" kiss scene from Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru). ("This is the fifth.") It seriously rivals Toradora!'s kiss scene, in my opinion. Perhaps the lack of tsundere expectations is what drops in a bit?

I would also include the kiss scene from Haruhi.

I'm really glad to see Urabe and Tsubaki from MGX on the list. Sure, they never lock lips, but their "ritual" is more romantic than a dozen poorly animated pecks on the lips.

I'm disturbed by the lack of Kurisu Makise and Rintarou Okabe's kiss from Steins;Gate.

And while it was cool, Rock & Revy doesn't really count, does it?

That would be kind of like inviting Niagara Falls to a teacup contest.

What about Yukino and Arima from His and Her Circumstances? There was an entire episode built up of Arima wondering about his role and self-worth in their relationship before the two had their first kiss.

As I said before the data loss, still bummed that Renton and Eureka's climactic kiss in Eureka 7 didn't make the cut.

I just watched the series again this weekend heh. I would agree with you as well. I'd also put up for an emotional kiss Kaoru and Aoi from Ai Yori Aoshi. In particular the moonlit beach kiss when they snuck off. A relatively simple kiss but a very meaningful one.

Wow. I can't fully describe how happy I was to see the Black Lagoon Butt kiss. I loved every little bit of that episode, and that was a perfect way to end it.

I'm surprised that Renton x Eureka kiss isn't on here from Eureka Seven. It had 50 episodes of build up, was brilliantly don't and signified a lot more than just relationship progress. Considering it had to do with saving the world.
