I agree. $8.00 is a reasonable price for manga, IMHO. It's more expensive than Japanese editions, but shelling out that much for what you get is certainly a better deal than some other labels.

otaku=peace? Their plot for world domination is ingenious.

Absolutely, anime and in this case manga is on the verge of becoming main stream. With more anime movies coming into North American theatres and graphic novels like 300 becoming popular, manga might yet reach beyond its fan base.

The trick is to cater to the seinen (adult) crowd as they are the ones that buy the titles that become New York times best sellers.

Like Fruits Basket, Naruto, and Bleach? Those have support from the younger and older crowds to sell as much as they do.
