This, along with the Ansatsu Kyoshitsu English to Japanese books, are pure gold. We all know that nothing is more fabulous than JoJo, and talking like one of the JoJo's would be great. I just hope they have the phonetic pronunciation of WWWWWRRRRRYYYYYY!!!!!!

This is interesting. Learning English through "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure." That's a heck of a way to learn the language. It looks like an fascinating way to do it.

Nearly everything about JOJO is fascinating. Steel Ball Run will teach you things about American history you won´t believe.

Marty Friedman started writing a monthly column for the English-language Asahi Weekly a while back, and I just love how positive the guy is. While many expat columnists just whine and complain, here's a guy who's clearly having the time of his life, and doesn't mind that it shows. I hope he does a column about his involvement with this.

I wondered about "Steel Ball Run" that residentgringo mentioned so I looked it up. It's probably one of the strangest portrayals of the U.S. in a manga that I ever found out about. I read the Wikipedia article on it and I'm just plain stunned. The weirdness of the thing is just so over the top that I just can't believe exists.

Wait you are trying to say that http://jojo.wikia.com/wiki/Funny_Valentine was NOT a president ? Or that dinosuar jockeys http://jojo.wikia.com/wiki/Scary_Monster riding on dinosaurs themselves were not commonplace in 19th century horse races. Lol were did you grow up. @ the anime staff. Whatever you do JOJO part 7 needs an adaption ! Jason please cover it.

Now I'm just imagining polnareff with a Brooklyn accent. |
