Oop, you guys made a typo. You said "Cartoon Network" instead of YTV.
Not like it would confuse anyone, of course.

hey hey pepp
well it's about time YTV (or any Canadian channel) starts bringing some good anime here! (with inu-yasha as an exception, it's great)

hrm, i wouldn't be calling the non-astro boy related stuff anything special, screening dragonball/sailormoon/pokemon/yugioh to me doesn't appear to be anything special, although i'm assuming they're new episodes for GT and yugioh (and is pokemon still going?)
Hopefully the new Astro Boy gets to Australia fast!

I'm not trying to imply that it's anything special. I'm actually just trying to spread any shred of Canadian anime news which is the least bit interesting. And believe me, there isn't much of it.
Since Astro Boy is a Kids WB! series, I look at it in the same way I look at all of the other kiddy fare stuff that YTV picks up, regardless of the quality. But hey, a new anime series in Canada is a new anime series in Canada.
And RantingOtaku, I haven't seen you at my board in a while. You should pop by sometime, we could really use your input on a few threads.

I'm very happy about this. I saw the first two episodes, and I'm still tempted to buy the Japanese DVDs though they have no subtitles. It really is a fun series, even though it is aimed at children.
