So I was browsing my normal gaming websites and I read that the following anime just was added to the marketplace for the XBox 360:

Guyver
Trinity Blood
Gunslinger Girl
Speed Grapher
Basilisk
Saiyuki
Kiddy Grade
Gankutsuou - The Count of Monte Cristo
Desert Punk
Last Exile
Rumbling Hearts
Galaxy Railways
Gilgamesh
Lupin the 3rd Part II

I don't have access to XBox Live at the moment (just moved last week, still getting things set up) so I was wondering on the pricing on these. I'm guessing it's $2/episode like all the other TV shows on the system? Also, for anyone who has downloaded any of the above shows through the XBox 360 marketplace, how's the picture? Are there subtitle/audio options just like you'd get with a DVD or is it dub only? Oh and how is the Gunslinger Girl Theme and Picture pack? (love that series)

I just check on XBLM and so they've done a lot of cool things. They've added an anime channel so all the anime is group in one place. Also most of the shows I checked were 160 points, or $2. I didn't check to see if they were dub/sub but I assume there dub only.

Basically every show had every episode available but Guyver which was only up to episode 16 I believe. And one last final thing is that I didn't see Basilisk, Speed Grapher or Kiddy Grade. Perhaps they didn't add them yet but they weren't there today (6/13).

Also I didn't check any picture packs so I don't know if there was any picture theme although I could so go for a Gankutsuou theme or Last Exile I love those shows.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea anime was available at the Xbox Live Marketplace. The only anime I noticed was the "anime theme" they had available.

Theres seems to be a lot of Geneon titles in there. Does anyone know if theres is a way to get the anime off the hard drive and put it on a jump drive?

No, it's non-transferrable.

It will not transfer to jump drive but it you buy a larger hard drive you do get transfer cord to transfer one time to your new hard drive. Unfortunately your old hard drive becomes a giant paper weight, seeing as how the old death becomes dead after the transfer.

Too bad they all suck, ESPECIALLY the new Gundam for PS3. That game doesn't belong on the PS1 and with water physics worse than SNES water physics.

There's no incentive to put an anime game on the PS3 as long as the PS2 is still doing moderately well whereas the Wii is basically a GC+.

We'll probably start seeing anime games next year.

As for there being no anime games on the PS3, blame that on the poor install rate, also the 360 doesn't have a ton of anime game, although they do have a nice looking naruto game. And also 360 is getting Gundam Warriors (aka Dynasty Warrior with Gundams!!!!!) but so is the PS3. As for Crossfire the PS3 gundam game at launch that game is utter trash, it looks worse then some of the PS2 game at launch.

Not to crap all over your heart but the PS2 had lots of anime games, although lots of them just never got ported to the US. Here's a small taste of PS2 anime games...
Bleach: Blade Battlers
Chobits
Victorious Boxers (Fighting Spirit)
Blood (2 games)
Blood+ (2 games)
Cowboy Bebop
Several Digimon games.
D.N. Angel
Eureka 7 (2 games)
Fullmetal Alchemist (4 games)
Gantz
Ghost in the Shell
Gungrave
Negima
Naruto (at least 4)
One Piece
Orphen
Rozen Maiden
Kenshin
Saint Seiya
Several Evangelion games

You get the picture, every thing came out on the PS2 seeing as how it had an insane install rate (something like over 60%) so not putting your game on the PS2 was pretty crazy.

There are really not too many games for the PS3 and 360 in general. My roommates who own 360s play mainly PC based games on their 360s. I own a PS3 and finally bought Motorstorm since I didn't have any games, although I do own a good number of Blu-Ray movies. I think that part of this is due to the previous generation systems doing well. I think we will see more decent titles by the end of the year.

I hope so for PS3 sake seeing as how 360 really got a lot of titles line up for this year, I figured that most people who had PS3 were using it as a blue ray player, and Motorstorm is a good choice seeing as how nice that game looks.
