But yeah, just because she watched porn a few hours before she abducted a girl, it doesn't mean there is any link between watching porn and kidnapping. |

Yeah I wondered that too. But I'm glad anime is not admissible in this one, it would've made anime look bad and start a anti-anime (and probably anti-Japanese) sentiment if they had admit it. But the kidnap-rape case, my goodness the brutality of crime is just disgusting. |

Jesus, what a sick, disgusting, putrid, demonic imitation of a human being; that piece of crap isn't even a real human, couldn't be. What has possibly been done to that little girl's psyche, assuming that she was even comprehending what was being done to her in the first place?
Regarding the anime, I wouldn't care if it was admitted; I think it goes to show that this female creature was researching things to do to the girl. I too am curious about what title it was. Although I detest those kinds of anime (not that the vast majority of people would be in its intended audience anyways), I'm not really blaming it for starting this. But it seems to have played a role. P.S. With this, and everything else that's been in the news, I think we have confirmed that the world is officially Going Crazy... When I hear stories like this, I wonder what the creators of these anime porn titles would think if they heard about this. Yes, I know that such titles
aren't the cause of this horrible act though they can be an influence. |

The rape-themed hentai has no basis for the woman's conduct and should be removed legally from her trial. She clearly acted on her own desires by inflicting harm on the child.
She should be charged with child molestation/rape/abuse, and should be given the maximum sentence of years in prison according to the states' statute as will as be registered as a Sex Offender for the rest of her miserable life. She shouldn't be given lesser years than a man just because of her gender. She needs to feel the immeasurable pain she inflicted on the poor kid's life. |

Anything could be an influence. You can gather ideas for torture and sexual violence from any of the several thousand exploitation horror films we Americans have produced for decades. To lay the blame squarely on one specific anime or even a list of them is ludicrous and it's the very same argument lobbed against Marilyn Manson and other recording artists after Columbine. Maybe media altogether can have an influence on someone, but now you're blaming culture at large and not individual elements, which is obviously much harder to fight. The easy and underhanded route to pick one variable and say it was the lone cause, and because of the lack of complexity in that kind of argument, it sticks around. Thankfully, it's never had a single victory. spoiler[Even Tipper Gore's fight against music and getting Explicit Content stickers on CDs only boosted sales.] You'd already have be on the verge of insanity and likely beyond reach for one sexually violent anime to suddenly snap your upper processes of thought and cause you to do harm to another person. Even then, the crime is still her doing. |
