I'm up to episode 9 and I've been pretty pleased with the dub casting. Taiga is perfect and Kushieda is more Squid Girl than Madoka (which works better for her high-energy spirit). The male leads are generally good, except JYB seems a little more subdued as Kitamura than in his usual roles (but maybe that's because I'm just coming off Code Geass R2 where he was the complete antithesis of subdued). |

Oh yes, it is August, isn't it? I should check my own. Gatchaman Crowds, Prisma Illya and the new Mayo Chiki are reserved for whenever. That's unfortunate in that I just finished Majestic Prince 1, "I have control!" and would like to start on the stuff I love from the rest of the series. Also, dub was even more fun than I imagined. From my Used "What can I trade out?" project, I finally snagged a Battle Athletes/Victory collection for half the price of a certain Media Blasters release I hated from the moment I played it {Not Queen's Blade, I like that one}. Honestly, I got the whole set with the OVA collection for less than volume 4 would cost me on its own and yet I still feel guiltier about the MB set I got rid off. Next on my get list: Please Twins/ possible Please Teacher but I'm still hoping for a license rescue {Recent Japan BD set was released, come on and get a clue already!}. Galaxy Angel Z and A are still out of my price range for now though I did manage to get Plain, AA and X for half the price it would cost me for A; Anime Math has no basis in reality. |

if it was recently re-released in japan don't expect an american release anytime soon.
with that being said, I broke down and decided to order the Japanese Bandai version of Love Live season 2. since they are still releasing discs, it won't be until almost 2016 before it hits america most likely. |

Rocket Raccoon issue 2 with Stan Sakai 1:25 variant cover ex. She-Hulk issue 7 Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers (hey, it was a dollar) sad I can't see the new DBZ movie. Nobody wants to go with me. I ask all the hardcore DBZ fans at school if theyre going and they start yelling at me how much it sucks, Its terrible, not enough powerlevels, etc. No taste. |

Appleseed the movie Blu-ray Appleseed Ex Machina Blu-ray The recent release of Appleseed Alpha made me aware that Blu-ray versions of both of these had come out. Watching the three Appleseed movies in order really shows the improvements in CG anime in the last decade. We are almost out of uncanny valley folks. Also Mayo Chiki! Friday, I was mostly just rare hunting. Saturday was all art it would appear Sunday disappointed me big time, so I went to the comic shop afterwards and got a bunch of things for half off (which I avoided at the dealer's room, knowing I could get it cheaper eventually, for example, Vinland Saga 4) Anime Patlabor: The New Files complete OVA I know your next question: How much? $42. Manga-including some things booths had early for the con. Also, I'm counting the stuff I got at the comic shop here. I got some of the manga for free from the Kodansha and Viz panels. Flowers of Evil 6, 7 Gangsta 3 Ikigami 10 (series complete! At long last! In Clothes Called Fat Kimi no Todoke 1 No 6 v 7, 8 Nura: Rise of the Yoaki Clan 1 Magi 7 My Little Monster 3 Rumic Theater 1 Rumic World Trilogy 2 Slam Dunk 12, 13, 16, 17 Toriko 1 Tramps Like Us 9, 11 (but now I'm only missing pesky v13, that will be a real challenge...) Velveteen & Mandala Vinland Saga What Did You Eat Yesterday? 4 Wolfsmund 5 XXX Holic omnibus 1

Art Prints & Other Tony Oliver's signature on one of my Robotech DVDs! He's been there for years, yet this is the first time I've gotten a signature. He's a really nice guy irl though, which only makes him more awesome 
And I got art prints for: Outlaw Star x2, Princess Tutu, Yugioh Abridged series (signed by Little Kuriboh), Digimon Adventure Also got: Crobat Button, Grumpy cat set of 11 art cards (the ones where she's Disney characters, ruining the movies, I adore them!), Grumpy Cat earrings (fan made, for my mom), Catbug earrings (fan made for my friend, I sure hope I'm remembering that she has pierced ears correctly...) Oh yes, and on Saturday night, came back around 9 (waited 45 minutes for the damn light rail, I blame the Orioles), I won an auction on eBay for Itazura na Kiss 1-8 for $37 (if you include shipping) |
