Yeah I certainly hope they eventually acquire the license for this show and dub it!

They already have licensed the home video rights.... at least for this second season. That having been said, it should be pretty obvious that they have the first season as well.

And as for a dub, considering this show's rather large female fanbase, it seems almost like a no-brainer.

Can anybody think of another series where the second season was licensed (or announced at least) before the first? Or even stranger, if the first season went to a different licensor after the second season was licensed (we're assuming Funi's got it, but we don't know yet)?

I mean I'm pretty sure this is great news, but it's so bizarre I don't really know what to think.

I love you Funi! I hope they release limited editions on Amazon like with Psycho Pass and SnK! I will body slam that preorder button as soon as it gets listed next year and same for when they release season 1 hopefully by the end of this year. I now have all of my all time favorite series over stateside except Gundam Build Fighters. xD

I don't know about Toriko, but I do know that funi did license season 1 of Fairy Tail first, then acquired season 2 and the movie... they didn't announce they licensed season 3, but it's very obvious that they have since they already coming out with that arc on DVD.
