Kyōsuke Kōsaka x Kirino Kōsaka is a top 10 couple among males. Take that morality police!!!

If I were to pick my favorite couple, it would be Hitagi and Koyomi.

I haven't seen Sword Art Online, but I've not really heard good things about the leads romance. Like others are saying, I'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that its airing now.

Of the ones on this list I really like Yuuta x Rikka from Chunibyou, and Kurisu x Okabe from Steins Gate. Most of the others aren't bad though since I'm quite fond of the Nisekoi pairing and Hijikata and Okita's sister.

However my number one will always be Renton and Eureka from Eureka Seven. Almost the entire show revolves around their relationship. You get like 20 episodes of awkward romantic moments and then the last 30 episodes are all about building up a relationship and bringing them together instead of trying to confess.

Sure they did...

the real question is why the hell Touma and Mikoto are even on the list. Sure it's what people WANT (I can't blame them) to happen but their interactions are hardly more than a bunch of cockteases that barely last over five minutes most of the time. Hell, I don't even think they're fake date lasted more than an episode...

Well If we're talking "potential" here I am glad to see Oreki and Chitanda here... even if they are #20.

Maison Ikkoku's GodaiXKyoko or Aa! Megami-sama's BelldandyXKeiichi are not on this list? The 2nd pair is definitely one of the longest-running romantic couples in manga/anime history.

Also, the lack of *any* couples from a Rumiko Takahashi series (Ranma & Akane, Inuyasha & Kagome, Sango & Miroku, Yusaku & Kyoko, etc.) is a complete farce. Confused

The romances in Takahashi series are the worst. They seem interested in each other since the first chapters, and yet they NEVER hook up, or if so it's an almost implied thing in the final pages. Asuna and Kirito got married in the first book, that's a couple.

I guess the Japanese group that picked the list of couples didn't take into account some of these classic couples and considered only couples/what they felt are couples from anime from more popular shows.

Sword Art Online winning so many polls makes me lose hope in anime fans.

As for my favorite couple? Ayato x Haruka from RahXephon.
