I will pre order this. I will also command japan top animate part 7 of the manga, steel ball run, because part 7 is the best part of the jojo series. If you disagree, then you are capitalists and dont deserve to live under my new world order. However, I respect your opinions when I stand on your grave, smiling, looking at the sky and remembering my past.

Sentai have used West Coast studios before, so i wouldn't count them out. Its more likely to be them or Viz than FUNimation, since they only use other studios when theres other factors (keeping an established cast or due to the Japanese companies handling the dub).

I am aware that Sentai has used West Coast studios for dubs before, but I've thought they've only done so for rather special cases, like reprising cast members in an anime from some already-adapted IP. (Persona 4: The Animation comes to mind, with Sentai using the original game's English voice actors.) With no English dub precedent other than that old OVA full of a bunch of unknown VAs, I'd think it most likely for Sentai to dub in Houston. And this isn't even considering yet how Jojo would likely be too long and too costly a series for Sentai to handle! Razz
Well they could handle it, but with no dub.

I wonder, whoever has it, do you think they would try and get it on Toonami? I think it would fit.

(on that note, i wish we still had a toonami in the UK. Even tho ours was crap by the end)

Same. Well depends on what you mean by first part. Before the card game took over? In that case, same here. But i already have it, so eh.

Well yeah, the pre-card duel crap. I probably won't get it and just collect the Japanese edition instead; especially if Viz keeps the censoring (I remember a reference to condoms from the crazy teacher was censored in later printings), and there'll probably be no color pages as there's no kanzenban in Japan that I know of.

There are kanzenban equivalents to YGO. But I highly doubt it's anything more than more shitty 3-in-1s. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Bunkoban are just pocket-sized editions, these are how paperback novels are printed in Japan as well. Better paper (very smooth/glossy), convenient size, more chapters per volume (sometimes reorganized, as in the case of my copy of Urusei Yatsura bunko vol. 1), but no color restored; usually an essay by an author or mangaka on how the series influenced him/her but no other features to speak of. Excellent for long series like Jojo.

But yeah, no actual kanzenban for YGO unfortunately. Which surprises me; maybe we'll see one one of these days.
