Ugh. I really liked the first couple volumes, but now that this is just Too Popular To Let It Go Anywhere it just saps my will to read it (especially when it takes a while in Japanese).
I'm trying not to do the hipster thing here, but it really feels like it's too popular for them to let anything actually progress meaningfully now. As Toriyama noted with Dragonball, it got so popular that he was turning out uninteresting crap and hating it and hating himself (he was more diplomatic in his phrasing).

Agreed.
Strangely enough however the spin-offs I hate most are Before the Fall and No Regrets rather than the gag series. The comedy spin-offs are stupid to be sure, but they're meant to be stupid and they know it.
The others however are serious supplements to the original. If your manga needs 2 additional spin-off series to give basic history to your world and some level of depth to your characters, you've done something wrong.

Personally I'm enjoying No Regrets since the art style of AoT proper isn't something that really grabs me. I can agree to an extent that the franchise has reached somewhat ridiculous levels of marketability, and spinoffs are coming out everywhere, but that said I think different perspectives on the same cast and story is fascinating and can be a lot of fun. It's a shift in perspective I wish other series got sometimes.

I'm gonna have to ask Attack on Titan to calm down. Might want to chill out before you get so hot you melt.

The only one i find worthwhile is Before the Fall. A bit predictable but the atmosphere world building are great. The are also 2(!) school series and one is a chibi. The series actually suffered from burnout last year but the current storyline is back on track and the art at least got way more polished. Hope the story stays good now and won´t turn into DBZ as you guys have said already. Seriously the last year was just shonen action with no direction.

Dear lord they are trying to milk the ever loving shit out of AOT while it is at it's height of it's popularity. 4 spinoff manga's going on at the same exact time are you kidding me. Dragonball I believe has only had one spin-off series that being Dragonball SD and One Piece had Chopperman that ended back in December. You can tell the editor's of AOT have money signs in their eyes because all they see is money and will put out whatever to keep that money flowing.

The spoofs don't bother me so much, since they have no impact on the plot. I really hope they have good editors at Kodansha who are keeping track of all the plot related stories to make sure it doesn't implode.
