HAHAHAHA... Are you freaking serious?? A strange list for sure...
Corrections: #4: Kōshi Suguwara - 31,672 votes. It's SugAwara. #5: Tooru Aikawa - 28,993 votes. It's Oikawa, not Aikawa. |

This seems like a similar situation to when the Aeroplane won a Level 5 poll. |

Smells like good old fashion 2ch tomfoolery. Happened with Inazuma Eleven's popularity poll back in 2010 as well.
http://www.gonintendo.com/s/136919-2ch-ruins-inazuma-eleven-favorite-character-survey-or-makes-it-better Make the weirdest/ugliest character win instead of the pretty boys and upset the fujoshi, it seems. -Stuart Smith |

How odd, lol.
Tobio behind Hinata though? Really? I thought he'd be more popular than him.. |

Sport's anime is more popular among girls? That explains why Football Girl (SHUUKYUU SHOUJO) needed to exist, not that I ever complained about that. Giggity![/code]

The vice principal. I demand a recount!
Clearly the vice principal must make #6. |

Not sure whether this is a troll attempt or not......
For a minor supporting character, the vice principal sure has served his comical purposes. But with such overwhelming victory, you really should not blame others for questioning what on earth is going on |

...I don't think you quite get WHY sports anime is popular with girls if you think the best way to take advantage of this popularity...is to give them a sports anime about a girl. |

Not saying that at all. It's to give GUYS a sports anime about a girl to even the demographics. But in all seriousness, I was unaware that the sports genre in Japan was more popular among girls, and I'm not sure why, though. |

My guess would be that the girls hope to see some "manservice" in sports anime. Just like guys hope to see some pantsu in ecchi/harem anime. |

yeah sports anime is more popular among girls, I guess. I think it's due to our personalities. I studied many articles about it. then as a girl I tried some haikyuu quiz. then I found that we girls love this type of anime.
