To those who are seriously wondering why incest is problematic, even abusive in real life, I think you need to look at the numerous survivor stories of those who experienced incest in real life.
Manga is not real life. I can enjoy incest tropes in anime and manga as a plot device (my favourite is this vocaloid music video of Kagamine Rin and Len as Romeo and Juliet, lots of fans interpret them as separated siblings who fall for each other: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWkgjeIlbLQ). This kind of dynamic rarely happens in real life incest. With the exception of the whole 'couple doesn't realize they are separated siblings' thing, real life incest is abusive. Oh btw I have no comment on Kadokawa's decision. It's up to the Japanese to define what counts as free and acceptable speech in their society. |

the conventional wisdom is that boning your sister is bad. but have you considered that maybe, it's actually okay? makes you think.

... Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if this thread is locked. Has run it's course. And then ran off it's course. And then smashed into the second floor. Of a building. After falling off of a cliff. And being deposited from a jet plane.
