I know that Funimation, according to wikipedia, has picked up XXXHolic for license in North America, but when will the anime come out on DVD in English?

And I'm still wondering what company picked up the Ouran anime. Any word on that, either?

As for Ouran will probably hear something at Expo/Otakon it might be Funimation we don't know as for XXXholic there hasn't been any info on release but I am sure at AX/Otakon will know more.

FUNimation didn't actually announce xxxHOLiC yet. The sent out a C&D (cease and desist) letter to fansub groups (Which usually means they licensed it). But, during their 7-Days-Of-Announcements, they announced just about all the series` licenses on the C&D letter EXCEPT xxxHOLiC. So it may or may not be licensed at this point.

As many have said before since Funi has already licensed Tsubasa it would make zero sense for them to not have the xxxholic license, since both xxxholic and tsubasa crossover with each other.

Actually, the crossovers in xxxHolic were pretty much taken out in the anime, except for a few small references and the crossover with Legal Drug. However, I do still agree that it would be strange if the same company didn't pick both up, especially since I believe Funi does have the xxxHolic movie (?).

This webpage has been up for a while but I believe that it should answer your question:

Yeah, I was about 99% sure they had the movie and so it would make sense that they would get the anime too, but they haven't given us any official word.

As for Ouran, all that's really been rumored seems to imply that several companies were competing for it or several were interested and one beat them out. Hopefully it will be announced soon because a lot of people seem to be wondering about it.

Aah, I see. I was thinking Viz or ADV would be the one to get it...... who'd voice Haruhi, I wonder?

My guesses- Viz: Colleen O'Shaugnessey or ADV: Jessica Boone

Just a guess on my part.

People tend to figure that Viz would pick it up, since they have the manga license, but that's only a guess, of course.

More then likely they withheld it to announce it at Otakon. Not trying to raise up my own State's con but companies have a habit of holding off a title or two as special announcements at Otakon. Due to it's size I assume they feel they should do this to give the people something special in terms of release announcements. Don't wanna simply relay the same enws everyone has already heard right? Most years at least one company has done that at Otakon as some sort of big or special announcement. That's just my theory on it.
