Haikyuu!! at number 3. Sweet. Totally my favorite this season. I mean, I love Love Live! S2, but HQ!! is much more enjoyable to me.

I'm happy to see both rank really high though.

A lot of my favorites ranked pretty high and that doesn't usually happen! I'm glad Captain Earth, Soul Eater NOT and Coffin Princess are doing quite well. As long as this equates to sales which it probably won't...

I honestly don't think this is accure. Unless every animation fan in Japan goes to their site, that is.

Won't the Televsion networks be able to tell what their rating are verse random people showing up at a website?

Visitors can vote for ("Fav") anime that they like; each vote assigns the anime a point. If the anime has aired within an hour, the vote counts for two points. If the anime is currently airing, the vote counts for three points, putting emphasis on currently trending titles.

And if there's any show that requires so little of your attention so you can vote on a website while its airing, it's DBZ Kai Buu.

If you think about it, it's amazing late night series rank at all.

The website's ranking shows interest in that particular show, especially if you voted to FAV it, amongst the site's audience.

TV rankings only show who watched the show, not whether they liked it or not.

Perhaps the only real ranking that should be acknowledged is DVD/BD sales. If you are willing to spend a fortune in Japan to buy the DVD or BD, you must have really liked the show.

Its not like these kind of rankings are related to sales, so I don't see the point of getting disappointed or really exited over them.

Because of the timing factor, this ranking values more shows that people like to watch on live TV (basically what's trending). We could try to extrapolate from there, what type of shows and people those are, how much they value watching it live, etc.

Hitsugi no Chaika at number 20? I'll take it, considering that it still made it into the top third of this list~ Smile

Considering this is only represents a few tens of thousands at best (3 pts = 1 vote if live), or less if multiple votes are allowed, and not the millions of the actual anime base, it is a very small sample.

In addition:

Considering how most anime air late night/early morning, this poll puts the DVR users who probably comprise most of post-midnight viewers, at a disadvantage among the already small sample.
