Like someone said before i'm hoping for some nice animation, but i probably shouldn't get my hopes up too high. Come on Toei, your noitamina shows and Kyousogiga looked good. Surely a project of this caliber deserves at least a little better. I've never seen the original, so I hope this series gives me a good impression.

Given that the original series apparently premiered only a month after the manga, I would think it would a given that it had quite a bit of filler episodes. |

Have you read the manga? Each chapter is long enough to cover only 1 anime episode. It seems difficult to squeeze 2-3 chapters per episodes. I guess we'll just have to see how the first episode will be done. Or wait for further anouncements. |

So you look at Fushigi Yuugi, which copied the manga almost frame for frame, and it covered 13 volumes in 52 episodes, so 6.5 volumes per 26 episodes. But then if we're looking at 5 years, haven't we been there before with the original?
And maybe....Kunihiko Ikuhara will come back to direct a season.....yes please.... PS - in love with the Sailor Moon CrystalS idea. |

I thought it had already been stated that Crystal would be the first part of multiple "series", one for each arc, or was that just speculation?
That list getting a new communication device or the like as non-filler though. A lot of times that happened without any real story advancement. |

On top of which, the Doom Tree and Nehelenia Arcs were completely original to the anime. Even if the first 6 episodes of Stars are my favorite of the series. |

Man, I just hope that this does well enough that we can get to the Outer Scouts. They're my favorite characters and I want to see more of them.

Since its web only and saying 30 minutes, does that mean no commercials? And what about the rating? Would they have to worry about TV standards or can afford to be a little "loose"?

TV animation studios don't produce the show as they air you know, aside from those longrunner anime. By the time a show starts airing, they've already finished a good chunk of the season. But yeah, considering how long this has been in development now (unless they did not start until after the initial announcement), we ought to get top tier animation. |
