I dream that, one day, Hisashi Hirai will be banned from ever doing character designs again. Why some people think it's a good idea for every character in a show to resemble Jen from The Dark Crystal, I'll never know.

I don't particularly care for his design work either, but if the show is good enough then that's the absolute last of the complaints I've ever want to make. Heroic Age was nice and Majestic Prince was surprisingly good, among others cases where this didn't bother me.

I have no relevant experience with Fafner or any of its spin-offs though.

It's not a bad series. It's kinda a bastard child of Evangelion and Gundam more or less, but it has its moments.

That said, I'm shocked it's getting a sequel. The movie they made for it must have done better than they thought.

Looks like an upgraded version of the first series. Also looks like the mecha are cgi this time around, but the designs look pretty badass. Maybe ill watch this if i ever get around to watching season 1.

*breathes heavily* After all these years, its finally happening.

ANN has "Aggressor" misspelled on both the news article and the encyclopedia entry.

Looks good, the mecha looked real nice in the CG and the detail in some of the action scenes looked great.

I'm ready, it seems like I still mostly remember the main three characters as well when their names came up in the article for the cast, looking forward to the show.

Yeah, I liked both Heroic Age and Majestic Prince as well.
