Since you so asked, I believe that the two weirdest things that I did after reading manga was bake melon bread thanks to Yakitate Japan, and enter my current profession due to GTO. Ah... To be young and impulsive...

While I enjoyed the comedy elements of Voice Over!, it was wasn't enough to keep me reading. Senri was too annoying and I just got tired of Hime after a while.

I really am enjoying Voice Over a lot. I went into it not really expecting anything, and volume 1 was alright, then volumes 2 and 3 came along and were awesome. My one friend reads all my books all the time, so I had her read the first three and she looked at me angrily when I told her 4 wasn't out yet. "Well you tell me as soon as you get it! I need more!" she said, as do I.
Yeah, maybe one day I'll rent Dawn of the Arcana from the library. |

I'd really like to see A Silent Voice on Crunchyroll get a Digital Spotlight. It's such a great series and needs more exposure.

I'm with phia_one on Voice Over!.
It started out great in the beginning and went stagnant around volume 6 all the way to the end at volume 12. Hime had almost no character development by the end. I'm glad I did read it to the end as I would have completely regretted purchasing the series only to discover such a decline. |

Is that the one about bullying? I was planning to check it out; I'll move it up my list. That's some disheartening news about Voice Over...there was a definite downhill motion in volume 4, but I still (obviously) thought it was a lot of fun. Well, I'll enjoy it until I don't, I suppose! |

Yup, it's easily the best series Crunchyroll has right now. |

You mean sex. As far as I'm concerned that statement itself is rather trans unfriendly for someone talking about trans friendly. I myself is agender. I reject gender completely and it is painful to hear someone talking about my magical "biological gender". No. That does not exist. I understand that as sex began to be confused with intercourse, gender began to be used to replace it. However those who don't fit the build get really pissed a the confusion. Next time, google could help. Seriously go to any trans friendly site and look at the sex vs gender faq. |

I intend on finishing Dawn Of The Arcana at this point solely because I don't want to feel like I wasted my time reading 11 volumes for nothing. I started out reading it concurrently with the infinitely better Basara because it had got me craving more shoujo low fantasy and Arcana seemed like it'd do. I guess part of the problem is that both works set out to accomplish different things and tell different stories, but I guess a larger part of the problem is that Dawn Of The Arcana isn't very good.
The first 5 of so volumes led me to believe it would be decent at best and a completely harmless read. But its been on a steady slope downward since then, and by the time I realized it didn't just have one or two dud volumes, I felt too close to the end to just give up. I probably would have dropped it after volume 8 if I had become comfortable with dropping things back then, but I didn't reach that point until about volume 10. Now I'm just gonna grin (more likely grimace) and bear it; thank goodness for libraries. The development of Nakaba taking the throne at the end of volume 10 did surprise me/slightly reignite my interest, but its sad to hear that its back to its usual state. Not to mention the four month gaps between these last few volumes being released makes me forget what has happened by the time the next one has came out, lol. Oh well. |

Really can't believe you are harshly and accusingly beating up the reviewer over English grammar, one error that most people would make. |

When I heard From The New World had a manga I decided to check it out so see if it fleshed out some of the anime, and it does in some very important aspects, but the price of entry is too high.
The manga does not know if it is an H-doujin or regular manga. The thought provoking spoiler[ asexualization of society in the anime: everybody is brainwashed into being homosexual during puberty (to prevent dangerous power issues caused by hormonal drama) and heterosexual afterward (there are no same-sex pairings at all) completely warping human relationships (the intimate platonic friendships one forms during Jr/Sr High and the intimate sexual relationships one forms later in life) to "even out" the species] is completely missing in the manga which takes a decidedly "porny" approach spoiler[ "gay" relationships are only hinted at in the manga while "lesbian" [I am using quotations marks since the relationships do not fit into our definitions being that they are due to brainwashing, but this gives an idea of what they are] relationships are regular and near-H] at times taken to an extreme level (Vol 5 Spoiler spoiler[ when all hell is falling apart and Squealer's plan is almost certain to triumph, Saki takes time to introduce the teen girl in their party to lesbian sex, REALLY, outside of porn I don't see this as a viable story progression]. Sorry, for the long rant, but I think this manga could have been better than the anime, but the emphasis onspoiler[ lesbian porn ]made it a strictly scanlation series for me spoiler[(not that there is anything wrong with lesbian porn, but there is a time and place for everything).] |

I haven't read the manga, so you may be completely justified. But it is not entirely unrealistic in a doomsday situation or knowing that there is a good chance of dying, for some to seek solace or the celebration of life, in sex. After all, if you are going to die, you need to make the time to cram as much of life into the time you have left. |

I know what you mean, and there are ways to do that, Blue Gender did it quite well and in context, but trust me, this did not, you could hear the 70s porn-jazz soundtrack in the back of this one. And, again, context: spoiler[if you are at a break in battle (IIRC in BG it was in eps 4, 6, & 15) it makes sense, but to take a break at a crucial moment while everybody else is preparing to show the new girl the joys of sex, no, that is porn]. Also, remember, per the anime (I am not sure about the novels) spoiler[their programming has now eliminated homosexuality so she would be doing her fiancé, not the new girl, that is strictly "in-manga" characterization]. |

This is a trans issue. Grammar is secondary. To be honest this would be clear as well if you too used google before typing that. It sounds harsh what I wrote but honestly if you don't know what trans people are then you don't write about them. It would be silly to write about a day in life of a Jew if I don't know what Judaism is. I'm happy if they want to edit it now, but my original comment still stands. I wrote I understood the confusion between the two but the difference is huge for people who are affected by it. Basically by talking as if the persons sex defines their limitations can hurt. Is 101 on "What is a trans person". I would hope that someone who was talking about how this is serious, would know. Mistakes happen but you too can use google. Here. This might be helpful http://www.apa.org/topics/lgbt/transgender.aspx Also it is easy to see attacks when they aren't there. I did not say they hate trans, I just said they need to understand what trans people are.[/url] |
