Heres the PV that was animated a few years ago:

Animation was pretty bad, hopefully they'll up the budget a bit for the actual TV show

This is novel promotion video, so it isn't important to the actual TV show.

The female characters look quite extraordinary and the story seems interesting, so I might try this show out if it makes it to the U.S.

Another LN animated. Still waiting for an LN aimed at females to get animated. The last one was Saiunkoku Monogatari(which was wonderful) and I do see LNs for females ranking on the charts so what's stopping them? Sigh...

From what I've noticed, LN adaptations for women don't sell very well.
Most women buy stuff like Kuroko no Basket, and Free is a somewhat exception as it's kind of based on a LN, but not exactly.

They don't sell as much as LNs aimed at men like High School DxD, Oreimo or Haganai that's for sure, but that doesn't mean they don't sell well or sell enough or they wouldn't be made.

You see them on the charts selling 5-10k usually. A few even sell more like maybe 12k or rarely 15k. That's nothing compared to the male LN monsters but most of them got really good sales after an anime even if they were selling 20k or so before that.

My question is why they don't try and give one of those 8-9k sellers an anime, because I'm sure that female oriented LNs will get good boosts as well due to an anime.

The last one I remember is Saiunkoku Monogatari and that wasn't a total flop. It averaged 3k or something for season 1 and 2.5k for season 2. Definitely not great but not horrible. And the LN got a good boost.

It's been bothering me for a while now...

Well, you don't need a light novel to get an anime.

Bottom line though is money. When the shows you like come out, they need to be supported, and if you feel you are always in a drought, then those shows need to be insanely supported as if you were all madmen and madwomen.

Harem straight off the bat, huh? It'd take a lot of innovative plot for this to stand out.
