I hope to god they don't call it that. It's Ben-to because they're after bento, not just half-priced anythings. You never know when FUNi's gonna change a name on you and give it something incongruous and off.

I think you might be misunderstanding something. That's the anime production committee (in Japanese: HP同好会 ) in the copyright line, not the title of the series itself.

That doesn't really mean much (if you are going by home release rights standards) since they have the exact same thing for shows like Blessing of the Campanella (it is still up there currently) and for Black Rock Shooter (before they removed the streaming episodes). And yet Rightstuf ended up licensing BotC for home release instead.

But for Ben-To, it is highly likely that they have fully licensed the show.

Yeah, first of all, Funi ends up releasing most of its digital titles as home releases at some point. And in the cases where they haven't, (i.e. House of Five Leaves, Tatami Galaxy, the ones Rukiia mentioned, etc), I'm pretty sure those were digital licenses for (what were then) currently airing shows. In other words, I don't think Funi has ever gotten a digital license for a show years after its initial Japanese broadcast and then not followed up with a home release. Mind you, for all I know, this is the first time Funi has ever gotten a digital license for a show a few years after its initial Japanese broadcast run.

I think the big question on everyone's mind is not whether or not they'll actually release it, but whether it will get a dub or be another sub-only release like OniAi.

Personally, I am expecting it to get one. "Pretty girls fighting each other" shows tend to do fairly well for FUNi, and if that god-awful Maken-Ki! show merited getting a dub, then Ben-To sure as heck does.
