Once again, South Park proves to be one of the only productions in mainstream western entertainment that knows how to parody anime properly.

My first thought when watching it when it aired was "OMG it's a Sailor Moon brooch!!" Looking it up, it's a slightly altered SuperS brooch. Someone in the studio is a Sailor Moon fan!

It looks more like Chibi-Usa's first brooch, the one from S, but with wings added.

I heard "Princess Kenny korosu" and that's pretty much when I lost control of my lungs.

Still think their "Fun Times With Weapons" episode, in addition to being possibly my favorite, does parody even better, but yeah, they really are the only US adult comedy cartoon series that seems to be able to parody anime correctly and damn does it always make me smile!

I recalled Trey Parker used to studied in Japan. I recalled he's fluent in Japanese, I think his first wife is Japanese hence why South Park has parody and references to anime/Japanese culture.

Pepperidge: That's 'cus Trey is a Japanophile. Cool

Although the idea would probably even more hilarious if they used Cartman, instead.

I think this three-parter, besides parodying Game of Thrones (which I've never seen; I don't get HBO) and being a satire of Black Friday hysteria, also serves as a preview of everyone's roles in the South Park: Stick of Truth game, which is a homage to both western fantasy and Japanese role-playing games.

Too bad the game's been delayed, again, until March. I was hoping to get it for Christmas.

Before the episode ended I thought it'd just be a two parter, though I can't recall any recent two parters SP has done. I haven't seen game of thrones either (though I will soon, as I made an agreement with a friend of mine that If he finished Trigun I'd at least watch the first five episodes of thrones) but I'm having fun just seeing this in preparation for the game.

Probably one of the better South Park episodes I've seen in a long time.
