I've never even heard of Monster Musume. The creator is a complete unknown. So is it just packed with tits or something?

Its packed with tits and plenty of weird and fucked up fetishes...even for manga standards and that should tell you something. |

Heh, I won't deny that there is plenty of fanservice, but I find that most of its charm comes from the outlandish cast and what their individual personalities bring to the table. Monster-girls are a big thing in Japan right now, and have always been an interesting sub-genre that no one has really given much credence prior. I'm fascinated by them, and the manga touches upon some very interesting issues (such as discrimination and racism). It isn't all just monster-girls romping around in the flesh, as the humor strikes a very nice chord -- plus, who doesn't love puns? Obviously I'm bias, but I hope people do give this title an earnest chance. |

I dig it. First book was a lot of fun. Can't wait to read future volumes.
I also dug Love in Hell. |

So, how long before Attack on Titan takes over the world? I'm not sure whether it's the next Naruto in terms of US sales and popularity yet, but it seems to be heading there.

Just imagine what this will look like in January after volume 10 is out or in February after volume 11 is out. It's the New York Times Attack on Titan Best Seller List! |

Monter Musume having the boobs definitely helps. It's the first time in a while I'm sure that a standard harem... sorry not standard, its got monsters. Not girls with powers/vampires/angels, its monsters, its different, yet it still has all the harem antics that harem lovers want

That seems to be severely overstating it. There are a small handful of titles that involve 'monster girls' in some capacity. I think at least half of them run in the same magazine.
I bought the first volume, but I've heard nothing good about the series from people I trust on these matters. As far as I can tell, it's a harem series but with monster girls. If people want a truly good series about monster people (though girls are certainly the main focus), go buy A Centaur's Life, which comes out next week, also from Seven Seas. An incredible amount of thought has been put into the world and setting and it actually makes the issues of racism and societal integration a major element of the series. Oh, it also occasionally has boobs (one recent chapter had a LOT of them because, well, mermaids don't give a damn), if you need that to get you to read something. |

I'm aware, since I do work for Seven Seas. And obviously it won't be everyone's cup of tea. It's a romantic-comedy (which has a harem of monster girls), but all I'm saying is that people should give it a chance and not dismiss it just because it's a harem series. I found it light-hearted and incredibly enjoyable -- but I'm bias in the matter. |

Great job for maintaining your position, Bleach
I can't see that. I understand the continued popularity for Naruto, but I honestly don't see one lick of what people do in Attack. |

Yeah, kinda figured from the avatar. Though I only just made the name connection and realized I follow you on Twitter (and I'm very well aware you work for them there). The Centaur's Life stuff wasn't really aimed at you, I put it there because I was using Monster Musume as a jumping off point.
I really just wanted to sell people on A Centaur's Life. If they *also* buy Monster Musume, I really don't care. And I'll actually read Monster Musume myself at some point, since A) I own it and B) I have a thing for monster girls and it *might* be enough to put up with other things I've grown very tired of in harem/(male-aimed)romance stories. |

Nah, people dismiss it because it's "furry." They don't want to be associated lowest of the Geek Hierarchy Chart: |
