Idaten Jump is surprisingly funny. It's like a Ghost Stories light. Sometimes the dub is plain hilarious, but sometimes the dub doesn't have any added jokes. It's weird...sometimes they do it sometimes they don't. But when they do it it's hilarious..like Ghost Stories. It's a lame show that's made entertaining by the dub, just not always.
There's one episode where they're about to get on some (badly drawn) jet skis
Kakeru: This doesn't look right
Sho: Well, when the animators give you lemons, make lemonade.
The episodes are originally half the length of a regular show, but they're combined to make one episode. So in one of the episodes, where the next episode is supposed to start, the last 3 or so minutes of the first half repeat themselves without going to commercials. So Sho says "Whoa, Deja vu" (it's funnier when you see it lol)
Makoto in another episode : Sometimes this journey feels like a bunch of wacky episodes where different bad guys annoy us every time. (this was in the middle of a scene that's supposed to be sad)
It tends to poke fun at itself often. It's not quite as funny as Ghost Stories, but it's at least worth checking out.

If I could get through the pain that is Idaten Jump, I'm sure it would be hillarious. Although I completely understand where you're coming from, it really is hard to sit through show that is that bad just to wait for the jokes.

That show is like a CD-I video game; hilarious in retrospect yet strangely frightening how terrible it is.

In one episode the kid with the glasses after getting hurt says:
"Imagine what would've happened if we were playing with spinning tops, marbles, or giant transforming robots instead of bikes."
Definately a referance to Hasbro's other Anime tied series, Beyblade, Battle B Daman(Which Season 2's dub is awful, Hasbro got a complelety new voice cast for everyone), and Transformers.

Well I've yet to see a bad translation to match one fansubbed episode of Elfen Lied (I can't remember if it's present in the DVD version or not, been a while since I saw that).
Mayu finds Bandoh on the beach with his eyes poked out, right hand torn off and left forearm broken in half. He is shouting and writhing on the floor. She approaches him quietly and asks 'What's wrong?'
I remember stopping to repeat that scene so many times...utterly ridiculous.
