Either Precure is going to go on hiatus for a year (which I pray to God DOES NOT HAPPEN) or Precure will find a different timeslot, that is, if Sailor Moon does replace Precure in that timeslot.
I like Precure too much to have it go on hiatus for so long. :/

Sailormoon, like Pretty Cure, is also a Toei/Tv Asahi partnership. It makes me wonder, would they have two magical girls shows airing at the same time in the same network? Definitely not in the same block, at least. But then there's the problem, anime in Tv Asahi these days is limited to the Sunday morning timeslot.
Maybe this dilemma is one of the reasons why the Sailormoon remake is taking so long and seems so troubled behind the scenes.

I hope this isn't the end. Next year is the 10th Anniversary. Plus considering how disappointing I've found Doki Doki to be after it began on a high note I'm praying that the next season is at least as good as Smile

Personally, the Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure franchises are aimed a different shoujo audiences--the former 9-13 year old girls, the latter 6-10 year old girls, in my humble opinion!
I personally believe the new Sailor Moon TV series will be shown at its old time slot on TV Asahi/Asahi Broadcasting: 1900 hours JST on Saturdays. The next Pretty Cure TV series will stay at its current time slot, 0830 hours JST on Sundays.

I'm just hoping for something new, but that is highly unlikely as Pretty Cure is Toei's cash cow.

PreCure isn't dead. The new Sailor Moon series will be streaming on Niconico and for the next year there will be a new PreCure series. PreCure is is Toei's cash cow and Sailor moon will be only a remake of the old series like Dragonball Kai.

That's really doubtful. Asahi doesn't air anime on primetime anymore, it's been years.
Not to mention Toei has been using solely morning timeslots since...2006, iirc. Except for the short late night series they've made.

No, the new Sailormoon will be completely remade, Kai was a HD re-edit with no filler, but using the old footage.
