I guess anything is better than the porn version, right?
I'm really, REALLY skeptical about this, but at the same time kind of curious. |

I'm skeptical also because Mikuru Asahina apparently will only have a 75 cm bust size .... Kidding! I'm interested in seeing this live action version, but I'm skeptical as to if they'll be able to pull it off. I'm guessing it will be quite cheesy in live action, but we'll have to see. Gakky? Nice choice. The Itsuki dude is perfect as well. |

All Kenichi has to do is dye his hair brown; and he'll look just like Kyon! Everyone else looks perfect, too. Maybe they'll stuff Erika's bra to make her more, um, Mikuru-y .

So they're finally getting one out now eh? I think those are some good choices for casting, but can they play their parts out right? That is the ultimate decision maker.

While I'm looking forward to this adaptation, there's something fishy here: all five (supposed) casts of SOS Brigade have some sort of relationship to anime/manga: either had been a seiyuu or had played role(s) in anime/manga-adapted live-action drama or movie.
UPDATE: BS-i denied its existence (yeah right, just like how they did with Clannad schedule), but Kadokawa did not. |

Personally, I wish companies would do English versions of songs more often just for the simple reason that it would make it just a little easier to get some people into anime. Once someone starts watching anime, you can generally get them to at least TRY the Japanese. I prefer dubs but I do listen occasionally to some series in Japanese. (Obviously if I've seen any of Haruhi, right?) Having a "dubbed" version of a song would just make it a little easier to spread the anime to the unenlightened masses. Plus, it's always nice when you can pop a CD into your car's player and sing along while on your way to work/class/whatever. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't sing along to Japanese. |

I guess I'm one of the weird ones that likes to try to sing along to any language, but I have sung along to the songs before. >_> Didn't have a voice recorder on hand though, so I can't embarrass myself here. I don't think the Japanese songs being left in would be much of an issue, as the songs that are an issue are in an episode that does seem a little more detached anyway. You're immersed into the "concert" atmosphere while they're played, and it wouldn't be difficult to play the language difference off. Still, some people would be put off by it... I don't know how they'll transliterate the songs, though, and I SERIOUSLY hope they don't completely rework them or put different songs entirely in. |

It's for the HareHare Yukai cd, right? But I don't remember ever seeing that before. Wowwwww I want to see more of that. And not just because Kyon looks desperately hot. Uhmmm. Honestly. *giggles sheepishly* |

Oh, that's pretty neat. I like the outfits Haruhi and Mikuru are wearing. Pretty snazzy, if I say so myself. |

Not sure -- someone else in A4 found it. So I brought it here. If y'want, I'll ask her. In any case, one thing I've always implied from the end of episode12 happened to be Haruhi's next great project -- which would be forming the SOS Brigade into a band. From that, I merely hope it would be the case. NOTE: I haven't read any of the novels. |
