I wasn't blown away by the original, but it was enjoyable enough for me to be happy about a second helping. The first series was a self-contained story, for sure, but there were enough intriguing elements put in play for me to be curious as to where things will go next.

Very curious to see where they take this. I can't see how they can just pick up the story where they left off, as it seemed all sources of conflict had been subdued. Perhaps a prequel or a story focusing on a side character's backstory? I really enjoyed the first season, so I'll at least give the sequel a chance.

I thought the first season ended fine. I'm not sure what this would be about other than random shenanigans. Personally I would have preferred this be a two-cour show that added more stuff prior to the spoiler[reveal of the other future person] and more stuff from that point on until the final confrontation.

So excited for this!!! There is still plenty of ocean, treasures, factions, and internal political gamesmanship left unexplored that I think they could really get a good sequel out of it.

Very much looking forward to it. One of my favourite shows this year (though it was a tad weak in places) and had hoped for some kind of sequel as I feel there can be a lot more to cover.

Don't know how to feel about this, really.
On the plus, more Gargantia. On the minus, the story felt pretty closed at the end, so I feel like anything else added would be more of a stretch. |
