Episode 18
So Aomine's style is actually street ball style.
That explains his moves.
Flashback with new Aomine info helped explain a few things.
Aomine is a one man team. The perfect player. Just not a team player.
His moves, tricks and playes were just amazing!!
Honestly, how do you beat that?!
Can Kuroko really make a difference?
Kagami even got benched again... things were bad.
Guess not and it hurt... a lot.
Episode 19
Seirin vs Touou torture continues.
The right word to describe Seirin right now is crushed.
Their team spirit hit rock bottom after that game.
Kagami was pretty down 'cause of his injury and forced rest afterwards.
Winter Cup is the next goal. They'll need some serious practice to improve their skills.
Kuroko - Kagami relationship is pretty bad too.
That Touou game really did a number on them all.
Kiyoshi... hope his appearance makes a difference.
Kagami sure changed. Doesn't he know copying Aomine's style is not the way to go.
Episode 20
Kagami doing a one man team thing.
That's not reflecting well on the team.
Kiyoshi vs Kagami. It's was a nice one-on-one.
Practice games turned out to be pretty interesting.
Kuroko was isolating himself from rest of the team, especially Kagami.
Guess he's still hurt by Kagami's words from back then..
That little heart to heart with Kagami will probably change things for the better again.
Episode 21
Preparing for the winter cup.
The cooking part was LOL since it totally sucked.
Lucky them since they had Kagami to save them!
So the summer training camp begins!
Seirin & Shutoku in the same camp?! How convenient!
Well, at least they'll have a chance to practice together.

One thing I really liked about 21 was that although the her-cooking-is-deadly trope has been done to death, this time they put a nice twist on it, giving a real reason and fix for it instead of intensive lessons or just some sort of attitude adjustment like series usually do, if they bother to solve it instead of making it a running joke.
I think that's what I like about this series overall. There are so many cliches and tropes in it, but they somehow keep managing to put their own stamp on them, so that they're easy to swallow.

Episode 22
Kagami's special training sure was working.
His new skills were just amazing!
Although it looks like he'll need more to stop Aomine.
Midorima was strangely helpful to point out his weaknesses.
Watching the Inter-high will be a good learning experience for them all.
Episode 23
The story about Kise's beginning was nice.
Who knew Aomine was his inspiration.
Well... seems like things have changed a bit since then.
Kise vs Aomine!
Looks like so far Kise is the only one who can put up a fight against him.
Really intense game!

Well I'm glad it's back finally. Always felt like this series either generated no discussion during the 1st season or was vastly under appreciated.
Anyways, are we gonna continue this thread or do we start anew?

Erm, in my experience we usually just continue the thread of an existing series for sequels.
I'll edit the title for both seasons now and once i've gotten some food i'll edit this post with some S2 info or something.
Edit: Ok, so I just added some stuff to the initial post, not really enough stuff to makes a 2nd full post about it.
Season 2 Discussion starts here!!

Hey Volibear, where have you been? Did you watch yesterday's League of Legend championship?
Yay my favorite sports anime is back. Murasakibara is so freaking tall. He was at least a foot taller than Kuroko.

I never imagined Murasakibara sounding like that...
Glad to have kuroko back. It's been a long year.

New season with new challenges ahead.
Will be watching this one!
This season looks promising so far.
New characters and opponents look good.
Guess this season the plot will be more Kagami centered.

Off to a good start. I liked the black American pickup player with the Australian accent. Also, lol at the shot of Kagami gingerly putting the jersey on the dog in the ED.

Ok, so now I've watched it and yay for some more street ball! As much as I love the vanilla games it's always nice for a change up. Also, was nice to see some info about Kagami's time in America. That was one thing about season 1 that bugged me, how in 25 episodes we got pretty much no info about it, so it's nice we got some right off the bat.
Looking forward to the rest of the season!

I haven't been online much recently, had uni exams then spent some time visiting friends, then decided to drop out of uni (got fed up of course) and had to go through the pain in the ass process of that and now I'm out looking for a job.
As for the LoL Finals, I'm EU, so really my hype for the whole thing died when they announced the times of the games. I did catch a few of the earlier timed games but nothing else, including the final, although sounded like it was a dull final anyway.

The first 2 games were good, but the last one was just a stomp. Faker too good.

This had me laughing hard. It sounded like Australians trying to hide their accent. What's kind of sad is that the roles were uncredited. ^^;
Kinda fun to hear Taniyama and OnoYu speak English though. Their pronunciation wasn't too bad but the intonation was off.

Episode 2
So yeah, if this could not turn into a magic show that's be great. Seriously, I'm gonna need some explanations that I can at least write off as anime exaggeration because things turning into ghosts stinks off "fudge it! I need progression but ran out of ideas! hopefully they won't care"
Well, aside from that annoyance 'twas a pretty good episode. I'm glad Atsushi is the moron I thought he was, got a good few laughs out of him. Shame he's already gone for a while though, would have been nice to see a little more of him.
