Holy shit, this is going to be hilarious in a good or bad way. Maybe both. Glad to see Sonic is getting recognition in media again, now where the hell is my Sonic Archie animated series... Evil or Very Mad

Not really. The show just has to be better than "hopelessly mediocre." Razz

Hope this show turns out well.

I never did like Sonic X. It was over-the-top, I HATED Chris, it adapted the games' plots too loosely, and the voice acting sucked in both languages. I'm surprised it's still on the air after 10 years (I guess it is light entertainment). I've never seen the 90s cartoons with Jaleel White, but one of them (the one that ran only about 30 episodes and had a real plot) looks really good. The anime movie made in the late 90s that ADV licensed was decent, but nothing memorable (though the voice acting is so entertainingly bad, it needs to be heard to be believed).

I'm willing to give this a shot. I won't judge based on that one image. It's not an anime series, and even though I hate CG, I think it works great for a video game adaptation. I wish the series luck. Razz

Please have Ian Flynn be the writer for the show. Sonic just isn't Sonic without him.

Living through the dark times of 00s-era Sonic games has taught me to be cautious around anything Sonic-related, but if they keep the goofy tone from the newer, better games (Colors, Generations) then I'm all aboard.

Considering 4Kids Entertainment is now 4Licensing Corporation, and 4Kids Productions is now Konami's 4K Media, inc.

20 years ago is where it was. My god, has it really been that long? As for this, long as there's no Chris Thorndyke, it could be ok. With Sonic X, there was a big debate on whether it simply suffered a bad dub, or was it just a bad show even a good dub couldn't save. (Besides little kids making it more popular here than it was in Japan).

I don't mean to be rude, but what did any of you guys like about Sonic X? Its animation was cheap and soulless, its music was unfitting, and above all, when it wasn't directly taking stuff from the games, it was slow and boring. For Sonic of all characters, this is a cardinal sin.
