Silly rich folk. I'm envious of hearing Dallas Middaugh will be there, though; why cannot these people hold something like this in Berkeley? =|

Because everyone too high at Berkeley to attend their actual classes......j/k. Doesn't Irvine have a higher percentage Asian attending then Berkeley, I know down here in Cal Poly Asian make up the biggest plurality, but I don't think it's a majority.

I too wish that I could have the chance to take this course but that drive would be nearly impossible, I'd end up spending most of my day in traffic.....oh LA why can't you develop some sort of mass transit that works Rolling Eyes.

I've actually met Dallas two times; once I talked to him at Borders by chance when I didn't even know who he was, then I saw him at a Del Rey manga focus group. He's a really nice guy, and he's more likely to tell you certain things than someone at VIZ or Tokyopop.

Am most definitely not rich. But thank you for assuming I am. Razz

I'm also not a student, nor an Irvine resident, but that certainly won't stop me from spending 2 hours in traffic (and most of my savings, thanks high gas prices!) to attend the course. Wheeee. Smile

I knew I should have transferred earlier Sad Think they'll keep the class until next year?

Pretty awesome. Hopefully I'll get accepted to UCI and by that time hopefully they will still have anime type courses there. Cool

My university offered an anime class every other year and when it finally was offered again it got cancelled because the professor ( Dr. Susan Napier) accepted a job in Boston. >__<
