Went to their website tonight, and apart from the site redesign, found that they are now selling books, including manga. Prices seem to be a constant 30% off MSRP.

EDIT: changed thread title to match new site address

Yeah, great news. When I heard they were merging all of their sites into one spot, I was excited because now I can get so many things from just one place now. Looks like I can rely less on Right Stuf for manga now Razz.

I think it's important to note that it's deepdiscount.com now, so people don't lose track of the site whenever they quit re-directing the old link.

Basically, it's a merger of the Deep Discount DVD and CD sites, with the addition of books and videogames. (Hooray! One-stop shopping for all my geeky habits! Laughing )

Whoops Anime smile + sweatdrop.

Actually, I put in the old DVD link, and it automatically redirected me to the new website. I never noticed the site address change while I was checking it out. Time to update some favorite places...

I went ahead and placed a couple of pre-orders. Based on how it all turns out, I'll make my call then.

I've bought maybe 90% of my anime and live action DVDs from them, and it's great service. The free shipping takes about a week. They say 7-10 days (excluding Sunday, of course), and I usually get my stuff on the 7th day. Everything is shrinkwrapped and placed in cardboard boxes stuffed with paper (the same kind grocery bags are made of, whatever the technical name is). I've had to do an exchange once for a movie that had a faded cover, and it took 2-3 weeks to completely process (send back, replace, get back).

And best of all, they use to have this semi-annual 20% sale where all of their listed items were an extra 20% off the sale price. Not sure if they'll carry it over to the new site, but this'll be something to definitely look forward to should they decide to continue the deal. I highly recommend you give them a try.

I can confirm that these guys are on the up-and-up, just don't expect your DVD's for about 7-14 days. Personally I don't get too worked up about delivery times so it works out for me just fine and compared to buying from almost any B&M they are fairly cheap. That doesn't mean you shouldn't shop around though; I've managed to beat the DD price on many items by shopping other websites.

These guys are seriously legit? I remember on deepdiscountDVD, the prices were very similar to other sites...but now I see Harry Potter 7 for like $18, which is WAY cheaper than anyone else is selling it for.

Yes, and the most amusing part is the 'you searched for hentai' Laughing

Yes they're legit. I've had a lot of luck with DD(D?). They have great prices and I've never had any problems. Oh, and Amazon has Harry Potter 7 for $18.89 to pre-order the regular version.

Do they list what they have? Or do I just have to search? I find this website interface counter-intuitive.

They do list what they have. Click on the DVD link under "Browse Products," then select the anime link. However, their categorization of "anime" leaves much to be desired; there's quite a few American-made shows in there. Honestly, you're better off searching.
