If this is an awful mobage instead of a VN then I'm going to be so disappointed. I've never heard of a VN referred to as a 'social game'.

An Angel Beats social game could be interesting, especially if they let users create their own avatars and operate according to the way the world was set up in the anime. More likely, this will probably be something closer to a digital card game. I also wouldn't mind an actual visual novel adaptation, since it might give the staff more time to expand the whole second half of the anime, which felt very rushed.

Please revise. Angel Beats! has been confirmed in April 2013 (http://images.wikia.com/mydata/vi/images/7/7d/136445647474413109563_b-13-3-28-20.jpg - Visual Art’s ~VA20-nen no Kiseki~ special book), and it would be a visual novel game as Key's previous titles.

Seconding. We've even known about the writers specifically: Maeda Jun, Kai, Kashida Leo, maybe among others, but there was never a release date given. Precisely, the section from the book itself with the interview was:

Yay getting excited! I'm leaning to more of a Persona style if anything since Maeda said he loosely based Yuri's design from a Persona character. I would say those games lightly inspired some themes too.

Not sure what your picture proves. I have the same book (this is pp 130-1), and the title 「Angel Beats!」, which is consistently written in Romaji throughout the rest of the book, doesn't even appear on these pages. |

I know, Baba Takahiro confirmed that lastest news about Angel Beats! visual novel would be come in Sept 2013. I only mean that this game has been confirmed some months ago as a visual novel game. For tweet, Baba made a joke in first half of tweet, so "social game" was an joke, too. True information only second half: "Angel Beats! game in next year".
