If they did, can anyone mention what the differences are between their version and the original?

According to the info posted on Wikipedia, the chapters have been re-ordered as follows;
Original Japanese version - 1 The Land of Shared Pain 2 The Land of Majority Rule 3 Three Men on the Rails 4 Coliseum 5 Grownup Country 6 The Land of Peace Tokyopop's version - 1 Grownup Country 2 The Land of Shared Pain 3 The Land of Majority Rule 4 Three Men on the Rails 5 The Land of Peace 6 Coliseum Here's the page the info came from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kino%27s_Journey |

Thanks for the information, EVA Fiend. I was wondering about that myself after seeing the note in the front of the book about it being a certain sort of order.
Putting Grownup Country first (and that being the only change in order) doesn't bother me too much. I think it would have worked in the original order perfectly fine, but I guess I can see what they were thinking, and it doesn't really harm the flow of the book in anyway to my mind. Besides, as long as someone has that information, they could always read it in the original order anyway. |

IMO, it's always a bad idea to tamper with the way a story is set up, and I'm not sure I want to buy this book knowing TP made an alteration like this. They also cut the afterword, which doesn't help their case with me. ![]() |

I always believe it's a bad idea as well. However, I've already purchased the book and loved it, so I'm not going to quit reading the series just for one change. If such changes continue, I might have to take it into consideration, but for now, I loved what I read, and I'm going to keep reading. |
